What a wonderful experience! Stayed in one of the rooms at The Five Bells for four nights and enjoyed outstanding customer service, a lively pub with very friendly people and a staff that looked after our every need. Couldn't recommend this place any more. Lovely village with very good restaurants and a fairytale appearance - from a beautiful village green to thatched roofs on the cottages. Visit The Five Bells!
Lovely freehouse with good selection of food and drink. Nice friendly staff and customers. RecommendedService: 4/5
We popped in here for a cup of tea in the rain and it was perfect. Cosy sofas, nice and warm, candles, big pots of tea, nice level of music, lovely staff
Exquisite very friendly freehouse serving excellent local ales. Just a wonderful location overlooking the church Greece in a lovely little village. Great find.Service: 5/5
A lovely pub and location very peaceful. We stopped for a coffee while we were waiting to view a property nearby. That was lovely and we hope will be our home and the Five Bells a local. Very friendly and helpful staff.Service: 5/5
We had a 2 night stay here and it didn't disappoint. Our room was in a out building to the side of the pub. The room was a perfect size for us with a walk in shower. We were supplied with tea making facilities, 2 big bottles of water, eye masks and ear plugs. Plenty of towels, soap and shower gel. So I'd say it's definitely value for money. The staff were very polite and friendly and couldn't do enough for us which was nice. The car park gets very busy and i couldn't get a space at first until a big later. The pub wasn't serving food but there are other ways of getting a meal in the village. It has a beautiful setting over looking the green. I would definitely stay here again.
Nice little hotel friendly staff parking is limited but you can park on the roadService: 5/5
A wonderful little place to stay, exactly what it says on the tin. You walk in to a clean and fresh room with all you need for a short stay and to the rear you have your own bathroom. Very well lit, tv, coffee making facilities, clean white fluffy towels and white bedding. Very impressed with the standard of the room. The rooms are next to the pub so you don’t hear any ‘pub noise’. There is a church opposite that chimes on the hour, a lovely sound if you ask me but you do get a set of ear plugs if it isn’t for you. And finally the family running the pub, very warm and welcoming. Couldn’t be more helpful to you. We will definitely be back for another stay. Thank you :
No food!?? It,s a Friday and it seems it does not do food of any type, disapointing
Wonderfully restored local village public house with a range of real ales and drinks. The staff are open and friendly and you feel at peace as soon as you enter the door. They also rent out small rooms next the pub and while they don't do food the atmosphere and welcome more than make up for it. Be aware, that the name five bells is due to the church bells next door that have been ringing on time for decades. For me it is the call of the countryside for others an annoyance.
