Make Do Craft Workshops

About

Made by Mother presents Make Do, eclectic local handicraft workshops for nimble fingered kids and grown ups.

Story

Make Do is a small but perfectly formed shop on a Stoke Newington back street. A treasure trove of beautiful beads, buttons and thimbles, this creative space is home to themed and seasonal workshops for kids and adults and brilliantly crafty parties for kids. Drink tea and eat luscious homemade cakes while making decoupage eggs, glove monsters, upcycled rabbits and mosaic flowerpots. Relish the simple act of using your hands to make something creative for you or someone else to enjoy.

I brought my oldest child to press flowers with Kirstie. The space is lovely and open. The people who came out were sweet and personable. Kirstie led with her joy of plants and happily chatted with us and answered questions with humility. We will definitely come out to another event hosted at hello maker, for the welcoming environment, the community it attracts, and the opportunities for creative expression. We love to support local, femmes in business & the arts!
I absolutrly love HelloMaker. It offers a unique experience for those who love DIY projects but don't want to necessarily buy all the supplies. Kirstie is great, funny and easy to get along with. I highly recommend trying out a class
This is such a great addition to the city! A nice little spot downtown for creatives of all levels to come together. Lots of networking opportunities to meet other small business owners through things like their open studio hours. Really looking forward to checking out one of the monthly markets too!
We had so much fun at the the polymer earring workshop. The instructor was super supportive, knowledgeable, and helpful. This is a great activity to do with a group of friends. Simply fabulous!
Hello Maker is the perfect place for those that love crafts and being artistic, those wanting to get into it they offer workshops, and those looking to support local and buy handmade items. The owner is kind, funny, knowledgeable, professional, and above all, passionate about this studio. I'd give a bonus star of 6/5 if I could. Grownups, they also have their liquor license if you're looking to get together with friends and do some crafting and have a bit of wine, or beer, etc.
I love the space and community Kirstie has created with Hello Maker! A much needed space for the creatives in this city. I participated in a Hello Market in the space and it was such a beautifully curated event. I love how big bright and open the space is as well as being fully accessible and inclusive. I’m looking forward to working with Hello Maker more as a fellow creative business owner and can’t wait to take a workshop or two!
Hello, marker is a great place to meet individuals who are creative, inspiring and overall kind. It offers lots of local vendors and lots of fun experiences to be had such as creative projects. The overall vibe and aura of the entire studio is phenomenal and I highly recommend anyone who's in London locally to check it out.
I hired Kirstie to host a workshop at my winter retreat and I am so glad I did! Her workshop was engaging and meaningful - my guests loved it!
Beautiful space, and great activities you can sign up to do. It was especially nice to have something available for the toddler age as something to sign up for as a one off and bonus being at a reasonable time in the morning. Can't wait to try the adult activities
Hello Maker is the most magical and inclusive space. There are so many artistic tools, great people, and different ways of using the space. Kirstie, the owner, is phenomenal.
