Earlier this year I obtained some samples from Dalston Mills and ordered fabric to make a Christening Dress for my Great Niece. Ordering was simple and delivery prompt. I used Stretch Satin Crepe R7720/1001 white and Rose Damask Embroidered Scalloped Edged Sequin Tulle WH/140626/02 white The fabric was great to work with and looked stunning when made up lloped Edged Sequin Tulle WH/140626/02 white
I can't praise this company enough. I ordered on Saturday evening and by Monday afternoon my fabric was dispatched and collected by the courier company. The delivery ended up delayed so I informed Dalston fabrics on the Thursday after trying to contact the courier myself, even though this was out of their control. Their reply was within the hour, even though I emailed late afternoon and they couldn't do enough for me. They contacted the courier straight away and escalated my order. Then replied and told me if I hadn't received my order by Monday, to contact them and they will recut my order and send a replacement. As it turns out, this wasn't necessary as it arrived the next day. And I couldn't be more happy with the fabric. Dalston fabrics stood out as it is so much cheaper than anywhere else. But this does not take away from the quality of the fabric. Which is fantastic I ordered a printed Viscose. I love their thread matching service as well. Which takes the hassle out of things. Dalston fabrics were a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. I can't wait to make something from the fabric ordered and will now be a regular customer,returning very soon Date of experience: 03 August 2024
Excellent product, excellent customer service they are preferred company to buy fabric from. In addition they also have a great community ethic as they have kindly donated fabric for me to make dresses and shorts for children in Africa and other countries. This company is absolutely superb in everything! Prices are extremely reasonable and the customer service is absolutely amazing. Í don't even bother going anywhere else, now! Choice of fabrics - designs colours, prints, weights - is fantastic!
I ordered the material on Sunday and received it on Tuesday - super quick service. The quality looks fantastic and I can't wait to get started. The only issue I had is that their system doesn't like iCloud email addresses so I didn't receive any confirmation - they were very quick to reply to my query. Thank you!
Lovely shop stocked amazingly full of fabric. But really mixed customer experience- arrived to 2 shop keepers arguing loudly, they continued the entire time. I like taking my time choosing fabric but it wasn’t a good environment to spend much time in, felt awkward trying to ask questions. Would still recommend but good to be aware of.
The staff could not be more helpful when I contacted them.My fabric samples were delivered the next day, and the material arrived the day after I ordered it. The quality of the fabric William Morris Strawberry Thief is excellent and my curtains have transformed the room. Regards, Jan.
Visited in late November. Not much to look at from the frontage, but inside is a colourful and comically well stocked shop. Innumerable fabrics, buttons, threads, yarn, accessories. Staff were helpful. Prices were decent. Quite a fun shop to poke around in. My mom found everything she needed in here. Certainly worth a visit if you need fabric and are in the area. Highly recommended.
Having spoken to a very helpful gentleman on the phone for advice on some fabric, I consequently ordered it, and it arrived 2 days later. It was perfect for my project. With service and quality second to none, I would definitely purchase from them again.
