Ordered two fish, a jumbo sausage, a bap, large chips, curry sauce and mushy peas. Price was £19.10 which is considerably more expensive than surrounding areas. However, I wouldn't have minded this if the portions had reflected the price. Large chips between two were barely a regular sized chips. One of the fish was a lot smaller than the other, which weren't very big to begin with. The bap wasn't buttered and I wasn't asked if I wanted it buttered either. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. I preordered so the wait wasn't long. Very tasty food, but there just wasn't enough of it for the price paid or even for the lower price you pay at another chippy.

Second time we've been to Cumbria and second time we've been here. Food is lovely. Only negative was we ordered a few things. One was a hamburger meal. It wasn't till we drove back to were we were staying that we realized we never got chips or drink with the burger meal. Fifteen mile drive back so we left it.Food: 5/5

Wow - I am still sat outside the chip shop as a write this… these are beautiful chips, fish, nuggets and battered sausage not all for me, #children. Great chip shop, worth coming here just for them. Amazing. Very reasonably priced too.

Ordered food by phone and allowed 25 mins so that it surely would be ready. Arrived five mins early and waited in the phone order queue as signposted. No food appeared at the alloted time. Finally called 10 mins after the collection time.  I expect a wait here and am never disappointed. If other chippies are open I go there.  Sad, as this is the best cooked fish and chips in the area.

Best chips in Cockermouth, we love to visit this place after a long day. Workers are lovely too.

If you are going to sell expensive adult portions of fish and chips at least try to ensure that you are not serving kids portion sizes. Very expensive for what you get, disappointing.

Always fresh and tasty, fast service despite queues. Recommended!Food: 5/5

They forgot my gravy. But sorted it out straight away, even providing fresh chips. As for quality I'd rate them 5 stars easily. Really enjoyed the chips tonight. First rate.
