My experience with Magma is very different. I love to collect compendiums of books from all around the world. What i liked most about this store is their gifts section which is ideal for people like me who look for things different and unique. So highly recommended.

One of my favourite bookshops.  I make sure I visit every time I'm in Manchester.  From books on design to typography to tattoos, Japanese art and gadgets of all kinds - this place is an Aladdin's cave for those interested in design and aesthetics. Visit!

friendly staff, well presented and varied selection of magazines and smaller zines. Worth a look just for the amazing array of art and its great for gifts too.

Very interesting shop - where you can find gadgets, books, cards and other things. Great place to buy a gift for a friend.

If you like books about design, culture and life style...or are just looking for something that is a little off main stream then this is the store. Quite possibly my favourite store in city centre!
