i was initially really excited coming in here, there’s an overload of literally everything you could imagine. records, BOOKS, the most random things thrown in piles all over the place. unfortunately i was majorly thrown off when the book i chose was covered in mold, i then looked up to see the roof falling in covered in black mold.
IF you haven't already been to Empire Exchange you ain't seen nothing yet.. Super duper. Every time we go to manchester we always go there. 3¥3 garrantee thay will have something you will like.. , Buy-$ell-3xchange.
Interesting little shop visited a few times something for everyone. I rarely leave without buying something. For those who love to rummage and get a deal this shop is for you. Places like these are getting harder to find in the modern world.
The high Lord Vader at entrance catch my eyes and push me in. Hard to find such kind of shops nowadays. Should protect and love the culture. Little messy in the shop but can find your favourite books or toys in it if you have enough patience to do it.
Random quirky bits and bobs! A mixture of pre-owned and new. Collectables, antiques, and memorabilia. Great finds if you know your stuff. Fun rummaging through. Central location. Mainly cash only, but do accept card. Friendly staff. Instagram Links: Reviewed by @cesamargaux
I love this shop it’s the right level of weird retro that takes me back to my youth of searching junk shops for prized items. I’ve been back here a few times picking up movie magazines from the early 80s. The random things you find here are amazing fun, from masks through to 8 tracks. Some items are well overpriced, some underpriced, don’t be afraid to ask for a deal. The only weird part is that their shop rubbish is often dumped in with the stick, so one minute your looking at a pile of records, the next a bag of old coke cans and sandwich boxes, I guess however you could say it adds to the charm. If I find myself in Manchester again, I’ll definitely end up here.
It's a beautiful and vintage shop where you can literally find everything but today I went mostly for books where most of them are old or before the 2000s anyway but you can find more contemporary novels here and there. The till is an old one with that distinctive click everytime it's opened or closed. Very good experience today
A wonderful gem of a place. I could have spent hours wandering around the store and chatting with the brilliant owner who has some fantastic stories to tell. Alas, we had falafel to buy from the store next door and a train to catch at Manchester Piccadily so we picked up a glass slipper, a vinyl album Spotlight on Della Reese, Gloria Lynne and Al Hibbler and a 7" single Frank Sinatra's 'The Lady Is A Tramp". Next time i visit I'm staying longer - the place deserves the time!
What a unique place ! They have a lot of vintage stuff, Toys, Books, Vinyl, VHS, etc. Also, they are very kind and funny. If you visit Manchester, you must check that one !
Best way to describe this vintage store is strange, a bit weird but a great selection of anything and everything. Managed to score a great deal and will definitely be back on occasion.
