Story

Lumi Power Yoga Hammersmith is a friendly and welcoming yoga studio and community with a comprehensive schedule of classes, insightful workshops, teacher trainings, and body treatments. We teach power vinyasa yoga in a heated studio and other styles in a non-heated studio at our beautiful facilities at 121 King Street, W6 9JG. Be prepared to move, breathe, sweat and transform!

A friend recommended this center to me, and I couldn’t have loved it more. I signed up with their introductory offer of 21 days of unlimited classes for £45, and during these three weeks, I’ve taken the chance to try as many different classes as possible. Honestly, they’ve seemed super complete to me. The classes are very diverse in terms of schedules, styles, difficulty levels, and more. They’re well-structured, and the teachers are approachable and really focused on each student’s individual experience. I loved the hot yoga—it adds a level of challenge to the practice but has been so comforting. The warmth stays with you for the rest of the day. And without a doubt, the fact that you can attend classes both in person and online is a big plus
Lumi is more than a yoga studio! It’s a great community where you can find amazing teachers and lovely people. Even if i don’t live in Hammersmith anymore I keep going back to the studio as I cannot find anything like Lumi anywhere else. Classes are accessible to all levels with clear instructions and options to modify poses based on your body and experience. Teachers are solid and they do not demonstrate, so they can focus on students guiding you with cues for the best experience. I always leave Lumi recharged, with a sense of accomplishment and a smile. Also rooms are big with windows!! Such a big thumb up for me :-
I’ve been going to Lumi Power Yoga for more than a year now and I truly enjoy doing my yoga practice here. The teachers are all amazing, all offering different challenges with their classes. The studio also has a great atmosphere that fosters a sense of community that will leave you coming back for more.
I highly recommend anyone to try a class at Lumi if you are considering getting into yoga. Even though the teachers do not demo at the front, you can easily follow along by looking at the other yogis in the studio. This studio is down to earth, the teachers have a passion for teaching and something different for everyone. I have been going to the studio for many years and it is a great community to be a part of.
My experience at LUMI has been transformative. The combination of skilled instructors, a welcoming atmosphere, and a diverse range of classes makes it a fantastic yoga studio. LUMI is the perfect place to deepen your practice and find a sense of community. The perfectly imperfect way to commit to your practice and to let go , non attachment or expectations for me only peace and balance on my mat . Merci
If you're a beginner who wants to learn yoga or is expecting the instructor to correct you in any way, the classes here seem a bit advanced. It seems more accessible to those who are well practiced. I went for a trial and tried three classes core and hot. The core class had more guidance. The hot yoga class wasnt guided and you'd sort of have to figure it out by looking at those in front of you because the class size is big and the instructor will not perform any poses themselves. Also the class had fast moving sequences and very little posture correction, I think the main appeal may have been the heated room because you're not getting much instruction/learning. Another note - at the end of the class, the instructor will play pretty loud music which you are expected to "relax to"? I thought this was unnecessary.

This is the most friendly, non judgemental, inclusive yoga studio I have ever been to. All the teachers and staff are lovely. There is a complete understanding of injuries. The heat is really good, the showers, changing rooms and whole studio are immaculately clean. So don't take my word just come and experience something wonderful.
My favourite place to practice, I was introduced to the studio a year after my daughter was born, it played a key role in helping me to navigate this stage in my life & beyond. I always leave feeling grounded, connected with my view point from a brighter lense. A work out that nourishes your soul.
The best yoga studio I've ever tried. While the hot power yoga class is the strength of this studio, there are also other classes to try like Slow Flow, Yin Yoga, Strong and Slow and the recent addition of Sculpt that can be done in a temperature room. So, there is a great variety available. The environment is very friendly and teachers are highly skilled and trying to facilitate an environment for personal growth as well. I really like most of the teachers also come to practice when they are not teaching and this shows their commitment to be part of the community. It might not be the cheapest available option for practising yoga regularly, however it is worth the price and a good investment considering the community and the environment.
