An over priced and pretentious bar. We were told to go on the guest-list to avoid queues, however the guest-list queue was the normal queue and as previous reviews have said the people on the door were unfriendly and thought they were working for a top club in Mayfair. When we finally got in considering how long it took to queue, it wasn't even that busy, that said the bar staff were pretty efficient although the drink prices were extortionate! Love & Liquor has the potential to be a good bar yet it seems to very try hard as were some of the clientele, again terribly over priced, a lot of the staff need some sort of customer service training. Over all I would not recommend nor would I go back again.
Very secure place for female goes. Great, very friendly and approachable Hosting team. No waiting at the door we booked online and we were taken to our table, where the drinks were waiting for us. The Hosting team was constantly making sure, that we were enjoying the evening. Security is very well organised and you can feel their presence at all the times. This is a very popular club and attracts folks from all over London. The main-floor dance space were packed through the night with gyrating bodies. The busy bar taking care of liquid needs and invites socializing. Plus, there is a pedestal, with go-go dancers, and a more relaxed mood prevails in a secured Private area. Fabulous dance music were standard all the way through the night and acoustics are great, and the party with entertainment seemingly never ends!!!! We had an amazing night and what a club!
Called up before my arrival informing the club management that I would be arriving at 1:30 for a private function as I had another function before hand. The woman assured me that as long as I get there before 1:30 I would have no problems. Got there at 1:20 and I was refused entry. Waste of time and petrol. Door stuff are unprofessional and unapproachable. As I was leaving I saw a fight take place which ended up continuing in the street. No police were called. I advise no one to waste there time
After winning free entry and a round of 6 drinks, we were all quite excited about going dancing at L&L. However, this anticipation was instantly deflated by the obnoxious woman on the door, who clearly has delusions of grandeur and thinks that she runs a top Mayfair nightclub!! She purposely maintains a queue outside to make it look like the club inside is over-crowded, which it most certainly is not - even on a Saturday night!! Despite our offer, we were still made to pay £10 on the door. Inside, the music is great, atmosphere would be great if it were crowded but again, the service was awful. Barmen and women looked bored and completely uninspired - drinks reflected that and were truly unpalatable, so much so that we just put them to one side. Upon leaving, the minion on the door, was again in form, true to herself, informing us that we could not for one minute stand on the front porch because of the crowds??!! whilst it was pouring down and we were simply opening up our umbrellas and searching for where the nearest minicab office was. I love other clubs in this family of venues - the Paradise is a NW institution and befitting and worthy of all and any praise. The place has real character and ambience and I would be happy to spend my money there. Love and Liquor has the potential to be similar but just massively let down by the staff! Firing the woman at the door would be a great start!
Awful. Just awful. First you'll be forced to wait in a pointless queue for ages, just to keep up the illusion that the place is full, when really it's not. Then you'll be asked to pay £10, which is way more than the place is worth. Once you're unfortunate enough to be in the club, you'll be accosted by rude, drunk badly dressed Essex-types while you battle your way to the bar. The bar - omg the friggin bar - is the worst thing about this miserable place. I had to wait a full half hour to get a drink. That's half an hour of my life that I'll never get back, spent staining at some idiot fumbling his way between orders at a snails pace. Spare yourself the ordeal and give this festering cesspit a miss.
The most worst experience. The fact that they had us waiting in the line for 30mins in the pouring rain, as well as not letting anyone in. No type of consideration that it was extremly cold and charged us £10 when we lined up at 10.20 near to the entrance. For free entry. They purposely made us wait so that we had to pay. .. The place was practically empty when we finally got let in.
This place is a joke. It's not even that they have bad service they don't it's just that it so desperately wants to be a second rate West End club that they've taken all the bad bits and plonked them down in........drumroll.............Kilburn. The drinks are overpriced, there's a bizarre fake queue outside an empty club, they seem to only play generic house music, the smell of red bull and dry ice clings to your hair for hours afterwards-it's trying so hard and getting it so so wrong. I mean, for God's sake, there's a club photographer! Who wants to have their time in a club on Kilburn High Road recorded for posterity? Quite honestly one of the strangest places I've been to in a while. Give it a miss.
As a House DJ i pay particular interest to these VIP table clubs. Ive always been into clubs that are about the music. VIP clubs seem to be about what they are wearing and what champagne they are drinking. I was lucky enough to be invited by Leona Lewis's management team to celebrate her signing to Def Jam at Love and Liquor. Amazing night, amazing DJs even by my standards though they love their RnB and Hip Hop . Loved the atmosphere and the staffs attention to detail. A great night was had by all. Thank you to Def Jam and thank you to Leona but most importantly thank you Love and Liquor and i really hope i have the opportunity to DJ at your club soon. Reading the reviews below, i can only imagine that these are the people who dress like they are going to Brick Lane, dont pre-book and dont understand the difference a mass market nightclub and a private Table nightclub .
Horrible! Worst club in London by far. There target group are the annoying people you don't want to spend time with. They are way to expensive, £8 for a shitty beer and £10 entree as well. If you know a worse club then this, please let me know. I would be curious about it.
Does not deserve 1 star rating, for a maida vale labeled club its actually on kilburn high road with overpriced entry and minimal customer service. The place looks like a whetherspoon pub
