The food and service in here are fantastic! Everything tastes delicious and the dining area is absolutely beautiful. The prices are very reasonable and you are so well taken care of. It’s a little bit off the main path, but it’s totally worth it to make the trip!Food: 5/5
Maroush Restaurant in London offers an authentic taste of Lebanese cuisine in a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with the rich aromas of freshly prepared dishes, from succulent grilled meats to flavorful mezze platters. The restaurant’s elegant décor, combined with attentive service, creates a dining experience that’s both refined and relaxed. Whether you're enjoying the warm, homemade bread or indulging in the signature shawarma, every dish is a celebration of traditional flavors. Perfect for a night out with friends or a special occasion, Maroush delivers a memorable culinary journey through Lebanese cuisine.
The food was decent, but the service was bad. There's no front of house staff so it took us 10 minutes to even get seated, tables were not cleaned after the previous guests left so we couldn't sit there. Then it took another 10 minutes to get our menus! We were also sad to hear that they had no shawarma. Being a Lebanese restaurant, you'd think they have such a popular dish. The food was decent, and the mixed grill meat was cooked well and juicy so no complaints there, aside from the fact that it's a little on the pricey side. However, the poor, slow and inattentive service really affected our experience.
It is delish... a friend took me there.... The baba ganoush, the wings, even the simple salad. They give, I think what is baklava at the end if the meal... so good... not too sweet...
What a fabulous restaurant. Beautiful building, fantastic food and great friendly service..... Thoroughly recommended, tried the Hommos Beiruty, for a mild kick. Then the Lentil Soup with crispy Lebanese bread topping and fresh lemon juice The Batata Hara and fried vegetables was lovely and all these came as generous portions... The Maroush Mixed Grills was divine, with perfectly cooked meats and bread with vegetables plus the usual table dishes to share too.... yummo Plenty of table water and the Lemon Juice drink was delicious..... finished with a coffee and some baklava Definitely put this on your "must visit" list
The place environment and ambience is really nice. Big indoor seating area and a nice outdoor garden. Beautiful to sit outside on a sunny day. However, i don't know if it's because the evening i came they had a big party inside a private room, so basically almost there was no service. I waited for 15 min and had to go inside to signal the waiter to order. And then when the dish came, i wanted to ask for a wedge of lemon, the waiter had already turned away. I had to walk inside to get some help. Originally i wanted to have dessert or coffee but thinking of how much time to order and to get the bill, i gave up. Food was relatively ok. The chicken soup was tasty but the shawarma chicken was on the dry side and when it came, it's not even warm. Maybe I'll give it a try next time if i pass by. But what a shame it has a beautiful setting, just lack service. Vegetarian options: They have quite a lot of vegetarian options and the choices look nice.
What a disappointment! I booked the table in Marble Room to celebrate my birthday. We walked in and were met with NO interest from the staff: we waited to be seated but eventually picked a table ourselves and sat down. It took ages to attract waiter's attention to get the menus both rooms were half empty..., we asked for tap water whilst deciding what to order but never received it. After 15 minutes of no service we decided to leave. I was upset as the venue looked gorgeous with all the marble and chandeliers, and I wanted to have a special time in a special restaurant. It is frankly unthinkable that such venue is being wasted away under such poor management. A great great shame!
This Lebanese restaurant is outstanding! Offering authentic and genuinely delicious dishes, it caters wonderfully to various dietary preferences, including a diverse range of vegetarian and vegan options that impressed us all. I personally savored the lamb cutlets, which were cooked to perfection, possibly the best I've ever enjoyed. The vegetarian dishes and the chicken shawarma also received high acclaim from our group. We were so taken with the baklava that we indulged in a second helping! If you haven't visited yet, I strongly recommend making a reservation. You're in for a delightful culinary experience. Service was also commendable; it was friendly and attentive without being intrusive.
Best haloumi cheese in the UK! Very friendly service. Really good food.Food: 5/5
I’ve eaten here twice, once for takeaway and the other at the restaurant in a large group. The takeaway was underwhelming, but the food was much better at the restaurant. It’s still overpriced - what you’re paying for is the ambiance because the decor inside is beautiful. I still found that both locations of the Cedar had better food for less money. The service was also quite slow yet somehow still hectic. I’d come back if a friend wanted to go, but I probably wouldn’t seek it out on my own, since there are so many similar but cheaper options in town. The one area where this restaurant really excelled was the baklava.
