I have been working in the City for the last 18 months and have used the club extensively my office is a 10 minute walk. Being a member of several clubs I find the atmosphere in the LCC to be relaxed and friendly. With its fantastic location and old world charm, it is a small piece of quiet and reflection in a buzzing London. The club has an exclusive feel but this does not translate into aloof service. From the front reception through to the bar and dining the staff take excellent care of you. As a member I would recommend joining. As a visitor, I would recommend lunch in the Tavern @ 15.
What a disappointment. Great location and that was the only good thing about the place. If you imagine all the worst experiences of a private members club this has them all. The old style look and feel really is old-style to the point of being very unwelcoming. This is true of the venue and the staff. I was invited as a guest and looking around the room it seemed to be filled with no one younger than 60. A collecting place for old bankers to meet and not somewhere that you might like to visit with friends. My recommendation would be to stay away - there are plenty better places to visit in the City. Won't be going back.
Fantastic place to relax. People who ranked this lower were expecting something else. 5 stars for what it is. Great service, great place to conduct business.
