Beefeater is always a favourite for me, it can be a hit or a miss sometimes but on this occasion it was fantastic. I had the house stack burger and my girlfriend had the sirloin steak, it all came out piping hot and tasted great although I really wish they would take back the sesame seed buns as the brioche ones have an aftertaste and ruin the burger. The restaurant is clean and tidy but would do with a bit of makeover due to the size of it, the food was great as our previous visit wasn't that good here, so it made up for that.
Fantastic meal which didn't break the bank with friendly staff and quick table service. It was a simple process reserving a table over Google maps. Ribs have a very different flavor to them which tastes a bit more spicy and savory and not overwhelmingly sweet. Creme egg sundae was also really good. Will definitely come back again to try the steak!
Toilet dirt and smell bad. No Toilet paper in women Toilet. 45 min wait for starters. Squid was over cooked not the best. Stake was not cook like order. Good fish and chips. Stake house burger was not so bad ,but meat was not juce at all was dry. Dessert was very good. And ginger bread drink was good. And salads on grilled mixs was old.
Great starters, main was good but some of the chicken was pink and the beef wasn't cooked to my taste asked for medium well and it was more medium. Also was sat near two tables of 12 so was very busy and destroyed the nice atmosphere we had at the start.
Cheap and cheerful. Kids menu 3 courses for 5.99. Adult menu, wasn't impressed and my burger / sloppy Joe was very basic. Kids didn't even like the "nachos" as the chips were tasteless. Always thought Nachos had cheese but we got some white garlic type sauce and tomatoes on the side. Mac and cheese had broccoli and other items through it, for kids menu unless it's asked for don't add it, please. Also had cold parts, maybe reheated? Kids loved their desert. The food was edible, just didn't have me thinking I want to come back here in a hurry. Got most interaction from staff while leaving, was friendly. Overall I wasn't too impressed. Basic.
Stayed at the Premier Inn attached to this pub, first night went to get a meal to take up to room, it was absolutely disgusting! Cooked to death, tasteless and cost a ridiculous amount of money. Next day went down to breakfast and was met with empty food stations a surly waiter who said it was been very busy earlier and thats all that's left and if we had come earlier we probably wouldn't have found a table. Shocking attitude which didn't vary much all week, understaffed in morning by undertrained staff. Dietary restrictions: They did offer vegan options for breakfast but evening menu rubbish.
The best advice I can give is don't come here. Rude staff and awful food, who fries fish with the skin on!! Breakfast staff were polite, but cooked breakfast was cold despite being under heat lamps. Worst restaurant attached to a premier inn ever.Food: 1/5
We've eaten here four times this weekend. Every meal has been great. The staff have all been polite, friendly and helpful. They managed over 700 covers just today and still managed to be cheerful and efficient. I am amazed by their stamina. Whoever runs this hotel should be very proud and grateful for their fantastic staff. I would highly recommend this hotel. I've stayed in at least 40 different Premier Inns and it's the best one I've experienced by a long way.
From when you enter until you leave, Covid rules are obvious. Staff are hard working and friendly. Food was average but for value, felt that portion sizes did not equal prices charged
Once we eventually found how to gain access we found the restaurant clean, the staff polite. Food ok, not great. The main problem we had was how cold the area we were sitting was. Asked for another table but told we were sitting at the best table in the house and there was only one at the bar available. Sat with our coats buttoned up to try and keep warm. Ate the meal and left, walking past numerous empty tables. Safe to say we’ll not be returning!
