Normally I wouldn’t go out my way to write a review relating to a business trip, however I’m making an exception as I want to commend the service from the gentlemen on reception - I think his name is Kane???nnHe is a stellar example of an employee that’s customer centric and efficient at the same time. He was friendly and efficient during check-out with genuine small talk which I always find is hard to come by in the UK hospitality industry.nnWhat’s making me write this review though is what I observed during / after my check-out. I had to stick around for an online meeting and therefore was in the lobby. On multiple occasions I could see him talking to guests and interacting with them with a genuine interest, providing helpful advice and overall great customer service. He’ll probably remember the interaction with a guest called Norma at the same time I was checking out.nnIn terms of the hotel itself:nn- The rooms are modern with stylish decor. They could do with A/C, but I appreciate it’s not very common in the UK.n- Hotel terrace outside and lobby inside are also big plus points. Love the cocoon chairs outside and the comfy indoor seating area.nnWill be staying here again for business or leisure!
Great hotel, beautifully decorated. Room was clean, stocked fridge with water and milk, comfortable bed, massive TV, Great view overlooking the sea, staff were great.nnFood in the bar was amazing but I'm sorry to say breakfast was poor.nnWe had it in our room, husbands cooked breakfast was tiny, the smallest I've seen for £15.nnMy fault for not ordering more from the menu but my scrambled eggs on toast were £15!nnOther than this we had a lovely time and we would definitely come back
We had a pleasant stay - quiet and clean and good breakfast. The man at the front desk was super friendly and helpful! As a heads up, our room had an EXTREMELY small bathroom - the shower was almost too small.
Stayed 1 night here. Its a really nice hotel. Not too far out and not too close to the centre. Our room was a little small but okay for 1 night, also a little dusty. We did have seagulls pecking out window at 4am.nnFood was good! Pizza & Thai Curry where good. We also thought the breakfast was great. A good variety & choice.nnFree parking on the front, however its a first come, first serve basis. The town is about a 15 minute walk away.nnA pleasant stay.
Nice enough hotel. It has been reasonable well maintained, and it does everything “ok”nnThe plus points. The location, the food and the super attentive and very friendly “Jack” working in the bar / restaurant. Everyone needs to be “be more Jack”nnThe “ok” bits. Carpets on public areas are showing their age. The lift is slow, a little unpredictable and smelt of wet dog a bit. The room was small but well over equipped too much stuff in a small room but good enoughnnThe “are you having a laugh, I won’t be coming back bits”. The en-suite facilities are TINY. I have stayed in caravans with bigger showers. Hard to close the door if you are inside. Shower cubicle was ridiculously small. Almost impossible to move inside it and a real challenge to open the cubicle door to get out. Would have been funny if it didn’t physically hurt to shower. Someone gave a designer the remit to squeeze as many rooms into that place as was mathematically possible.nnThis is to the massive detriment of the hotel. It was almost good, almost classy, almost a real find but in reality the small room and the tiny en-suite took enough of a shine off my stay to make me look at one of the other perhaps 20 hotels in the same road.
