Thank you to a forward-thinking council who allows campervans to stop overnight. I hope all of our contributions 30 campervans New Years Eve really help the town and their businesses. We wish more councils would do the same. It felt safe and so convenient for the city attractions and shops.
This car park is ideally situated if coming into Chester on the Wrexham road. We stayed from around 6.30pm Friday until around Saturday, which cost £6.50. This is very reasonable for Chester. The walk into the main part of Chester shops is around 10 minutes. You take a ticket when you arrive at the car park and your number plate is also scanned. You can pay with cash or card, but I didn't need to put the ticket in the exit barrier as it lifted automatically when it read the number plate.
Great spot for visiting Chester and very reasonably pricing, especially for overnight Motorhome parking.
Its great to see the powers that be being so forward thinking and providing the option for motorhomes to stay over. Very reasonable prices which allow us to spend more in local businesses. Great for walking into Chester town with everything it has to offer.
Easy to access parking for small and large vehicle's. Collect ticket from machine on way in, and pay at payment machine via contactless or cash on your return. Lightning at night around the payment machines isn't the best.
Always a good stopover in our motor home. Lovely City to visit and spend time checking out it's history. Years ago there used to be a washout in this car park for motor homes but this has long been stopped. The UK in general is missing out on the motor home tourist who travel winter and summer. Councils need to wake up to this fact and start providing the facilties required. Hence the star rating. It is also the reason we only travel to Scotland or over the Channel to Europewhere services are standard and a warm welcome guaranteed. Both England and Wales have a blinkered attitude to the motor home franternity. In fact there are no motor home parking facilities provided by Councils on the North Wales coast. We as motor home owners are made to feel unwelcome, and we live on this coast!
Good car park close to the town centre and allowed camper vans to stay over night nice little cafe where you can have a brew and breakfast also there is a public toilet there
Very handy & reasonably priced car park, just a short walk from the city centre. Has it's own loos & cafe facilities. Nicely situated next to both the river & several entrances to the city wall. Unbelievably also has over night parking & has long bays next to the river, so the possibilities are endless! What more could you want from a city car park??
Excellent place to park. Could be better signposted but safe and convenient and plenty of places for cars and motorhomes. Very handy and easy access to the city centre.
Perfect place to park up and explore Chester. The walls are a few minutes walk away, as is the military museum and town centre, river side and university. At £5 for parking it's fantastic.
