Pretty great location! Spacious car park. There are limited 6 as far as I can remember disabled bays just outside of the car park with a 4 hour FREE parking option. It is right before the gate on the left side.nnSo, spacious, clean parking spaces. Time rates are clearly shown before entering. Cheap. For 6 hrs stay I paid only £6.nn5 minutes walk from the Chester City Walls and about 20 minutes COMFORTABLE walk on the wall to the town centre CLOCK TOWER.
Honestly nice to have a cheap 24 hr car park. BUT I didn’t arrive until 3:30 am beyond my control and I didn’t want to disturb others sleeping etc so I tucked up to one side so me closing doors etc didn’t disturb. Saw a lot darker area right next to construction fencing. Saw a caravan hooked up to a van about 6/8 bays away thought they r there I’ll go here I’m out the way from morning commuting- waking me . And be So dark thought it’s perfect. Well NO I didn’t know it was coaches only along entire side and I woke up at 9 am to a parking ticket. I was fuming I asked inside the cafe the lovely ladies said his horrible it even ticketed people there for a charity event for cancer even though they parked 3 to a bay to ease the parking spots knowing everyone there for same thing. They all still paid parking . But got stung with ticket. They Now refuse to even serve him because of how horrible he is. I explained I was trying to be considerate to others sleeping at 3:30am going out the way I was right near construction fencing so nothing would fit other then cars anyway. But explaining there’s NO lights over that side so No I didn’t see no signs at that time especially late October. Fuming.nI saw a lovely lady ticket person she said bless ya for being considerate it’s now possibly cost you definitely appeal it . Explain it’s not clearly visible at night. And being a 24 hr car park all signs should be clearly readable no matter hr or season.nSo that’s what I’m doing.nSo be VERY much warned don’t park along the back wall near cafe or top in front of cafe all coach only and you will be fined.nI’ve included prices . Because if you arrive after 6pm it’s an extra £1.50 on top of £6:00.
Great car park within easy walking distance of the city and right next to the river. Ticket system with payment on exit with automated machines that accept card payments. We paid £6 for about 4 hours.
Good large carpark, cafe with a short walk to the town.nBad points,ncost is a bit strange arrived just after 5pm Sunday, left just after 9 on the Monday,, small transporter, £15, how does that work out##, no signal or internet, so if your planning to work or blog, it is not going to happen, and cafe opens 9am, or just after in this case, with the staff suffering from the Monday morning blue's.nBit disappointing as I'm here for a few days working and now off to the campsite down the road which is cheaper. Shame looked perfect.
Parking is a pain due to the way people are parked.nI parked in one of the cross hatch areas as we couldn't get in a space and was given a parking ticket, others parked in the bus parking and they had tickets too.nThe machine charged me twice when paying to park, as you need to pay before you leave. Parking was £6, I would recommend the parking at the museum just off the island as it was cheaper and is manned.
