Went to this speakeasy to try their new happy hour called Gin Room Sessions. Select Gin based cocktails are only $12. Their snack menu was a lot more robust than I expected. The chili oil noodles and spring rolls were fantastic. Make sure you add baos to your order with any of the meat options, you will not regret it.Food: 5/5
I came here for pre-dinner drinks because Mother Tongue was closed for a private party. Was not expecting the underground dark speak-easy vibe. Similar to upstairs, the cocktails have an Asian twist or influence. I tried the jasmine milk tea, which was just a touch of floral, but you could taste the lemon more. I wanted an espresso martini, but the bar tender recommended one with a unique twist. He made me a miso espresso martini, which was AMAZING. It tasted like salted caramel, but you still got the umami flavour. I really enjoyed coming here as it was a happy accident but I left impressed. The cocktails are boozy, the bartender was really nice and attentive, and the vibes were 100.
Checked out this spot before dinner in the restaurant upstairs and was pleasantly surprised. The spot was not busy around 7 but it seems to get busier later so I would recommend making reservations. It’s a cozy spot for delicious cocktails and the bar service was friendly too. Tried the spice and everything nice as well as the jasmine milk tea punch which were fantastic. They played great music too. Would recommend!
EDWIN made us the absolute best cocktails ever! He was super nice, listened to our preferences and made us the best drinks ever based on this. This was our second visit and both times was with Ed as bartender and needless to say, WE SHALL COME AGAIN with more pplService: 5/5
Finding this bar is a bit of a escape room challenge; you have to enter through the Mother Tongue Restaurant and take the stairs downstairs. However, the effort is undoubtedly worth it. This intimate spot is perfect for small groups and particularly suitable for romantic dates. The atmosphere is what sets this place apart — it's intriguing and adds a touch of mystery to your evening. While the menu is concise, featuring just a couple of appetizers, I found the choices to be interesting. My only suggestion would be for the establishment to consider expanding their menu, both in terms of food and drinks. Doing so could elevate the overall experience and cater to a wider range of preferences. Looking forward to revisiting and hopefully discovering more offerings on the menu.
The bar is hidden below mother tongue. Not easy to find, small space with limited seats. But speakeasy and special cocktails to order though the choices are limited. All in all, it is a place worth going with friends. Highly recommend the Jasmine milk tea punch.
Always get the Dealer’s choice! It won’t disappoint! Friends made a rsvp for a table at this hidden speakeasy on a Friday night, and the bar was very busy— if you walked in you’ll most likely have standing room only. The drinks menu is very detailed with flavours for all moods. We ordered the Dealer’s choice cocktail and it was amazing, not too sweet and just the right amount of liquor. Additionally, you can’t go wrong with a classic amaretto sour. There’s also a limited food menu similar taste to their upstairs resto Mother Tongue that you can nibble on together with your drinks.
Cool place. We enjoyed having the bartenders come up with their own drinks for us, they were creative and tasty. The atmosphere has a nice vibe to it and service was great.Service: 5/5
Hidden bar, you need to enter Mother Tongue first. Nice atmosphere and groovy playlist. Interesting menu with some Asian influences. I went with a dealer's choice cocktail. Miso hummus & chips came cold Food: 4/5
The vibe you need! Drinks… Amazing! Snacks…Amazing! Everything else… Amazing! Seriously you need Liquid Courage in your life if you don’t already! Stop reading book your reservation, start running! This place is a must!Food: 5/5
