A great experience. The service was very good provided by a young waitress who was very friendly and courteous. The food was actually brilliant for both the taste and the price for the portion . £10.95 for a proper roast dinner. The drinks price were standard for a restaurant at Port Solent. Anyone looking for a good Sunday roast, I would recommend here. Good work.
Great surroundings, lovely atmosphere. Good service from waitress and nice food! Surprisingly lively music with a lot of drunk women out on the pull!! Made for very funny watching!!! Disappointed that the manager did not accept our loyalty card for a free bottle wine saying they had stopped doing them, should have still accepted it even out of good will ... hate stuck up, jobs worth managers like him and he would actually put me off returning!!
Was not made to feel welcome with a young child. Asked for a highchair on booking and whilst ordering and one was only produced after staff chastised me for my toddler running loose. Even though after several asks no chair was provided for me to prevent this in the first place. So embarrassing for me when I was already extremely stressed. Live music was good however really odd to have it over Sunday lunchtime this really needs to be advertised better no conversation could be had over the music during dinner. Food was average at best. Childrens choices abysmal however judging by my welcome I presume that's because they don't want children coming. Pineapple upside down cake was horrible really stodgy and solid not enough pineapple and too much glacé cherries. Not much choice on the wine list but decent cocktails albeit overpriced. All and all a disappointing outing I would not return.
I visited the Watermark a few weeks ago for some afternoon tea and loved it. I heard that a night out at the Watermark was great fun so took a visit with a friend this weekend. I have to say the atmosphere was buzzing and we had a great time. The music was spot on, great for a boogie. We felt very much looked after by all the staff, including management, bar staff and the security staff too! It is refreshing to go somewhere slightly more up-market with a good crowd. Well worth a visit and will definately go back again soon.
Went in on a quiet Wednesday evening and had good service thanks Dave. Ordered the haddock which was superb and a glass of Malbec which was also superb. The prices compare to good pub prices but this is a well appointed restaurant in a prime site so I think it’s good value. I would recommend it.
Lovely place with delicious food with a nice Marina view outside the restaurant. I love this place I had my 55th birthday celebration here. And if you come to have something to eat on Fridays and Saturdays they have a Disco for everyone to enjoy afterwards. It's a very busy place, the staff are friendly and it's free parking.
not bad . will go back to try food. staff was very helpful , had a little issue with drinks.. there came back to table with another bottle of wine to replace the bottle which we had before... quickly sorted out that issue with a friendly smile and polite service
Dreadful customer service. We had to wait over 50 mins for our food and we were the only people dinning ! To be fair when our food finally arrived it was nice. At no point whilst eating were we asked if everything was ok. We finished our meal and waited for our plates to be taken or be asked if we wanted desert or our bill no one came. My wife went to the bar and ask for to pay the bill, whilst paying the bill she noticed a flyer advertising 2 course for £12, she ask why we hadn't be told about the deal when ordering ? The guy replied ' I forgot' !!!! She then commented that the complementary WiFi wasn't working, his rely was ' mine does' !!!. To the the slim guy with glasses who represents The Watermark you customer service skills are shocking and your attitude stinks !
Not as good as it used to be. In fairness went on a busy Saturday night and had to wait a long while for service for food and the bar ran out of glasses. The music was great but atmosphere was a bit tense. Probably good for a night out but not for a meal on a Saturday.
My wife and myself decided to have Sunday lunch here after visiting the cinema. arrived at 2pm and were shown to a table, then waited 15 minutes for the waitress to arrive to take our order. We ordered one starter and two main courses, I had to ask just before she walked away if we could order a drink, normally a waiter will ask if you would like a drink when they give you the menu, so not good service there. Drinks arrive 10 minutes later followed by the starter 5 minutes after that. Time now 2.30 at 3pm main course has not arrived asked waitress where it is and it would appear she forgot to put the ticket through to the kitchen but will be with us shortly, 3.15 no meal. Giving up on the meal, have to be home by 9pm to watch 'Poldark', I ask for the bill, we will eat elsewhere, manager arrives with bill says sorry for delay i ask why was there a delay he says confusion in the kitchen and walks off. cost me £12.50 not to have a meal!! Waitresses spent most of their time chatting around the coffee machine and there was only about 6 tables in use 25% so not busy at all and no excuse for the bad service.. Will not be going back, if you do go make sure you have half a day to spare. September 18th 2016
