Wish We Didn't Have to Leave!nnWe had such a wonderful stay in one of the apartments at The Lion Hotel. It was incredibly comfortable with plenty of space for me and my family to relax. A huge shoutout to the outstanding team—the customer service from the young lady on the bar was top-notch, and the two young girls serving in the restaurant tonight were absolutely amazing! We are truly not looking forward to checking out tomorrow and wish we could stay longer, but family commitments are pulling us away. Thank you for making our stay so special!
The hotel is beautiful and the staff were welcoming, they even have a lift to all floors. The Sunday lunch was real value for money and you get loads. The breakfast was buffet style and was replenished quickly and the staff were really busy. Ffion was lovely. The downsides however, the room although had a wonderful sea view, was quite small, there was a stain on the carpet that looked like a blob of tar. The dressing tabletop was peeling around the edge, the toilet seat was loose and needed to be reattached after each use and the shower had very little pressure.
So my review is as follows. Check in was very easy and explained well but went abit south after that. We were staying in the Conway room which the main room is dark and very aged. The bed in that room you could feel every spring and my son got very little sleep. The bedroom was decorated well but I have slept on softer ply wood. This may seem abit stong but I've never slept on one harder in my life. The shower had black mould in it and the extraction fan sounded like a tug boat. Breakfast was average at best but again the staff where very helpful and pleasant in teas and toast options. Overall for the money spent just stick to a Premier Inn for the money a few miles away. Nothing wrong with the people but this place needs some money spending on it and the value just doesn't seem to be on point.
A Wonderful Stay at The Lion Hotel!nnWe had a lovely stay at The Lion Hotel in Criccieth. Check-in was quick and efficient, and we received an incredibly warm welcome from the delightful lady at reception. Room 5 was cozy and provided a very comfortable night's sleep.nnThe food was a real highlight—we thoroughly enjoyed both the Llewelyn menu and the Indian menu options. Excellent service and great hospitality all around. We would definitely stay again!
Nice place , breakfast wasn't bad. Staff were friendly. Central to the centre so easy to walk around and get around by car . Only thing was above the dining room so could hear tables and chairs being pushed/ scraped around
