They do not manage the self service with enough tills open. Why have 13 checkouts and only 6 open with a queue of 15 people who each have full baskets.nThey are so stuck in their ways management do not care
Very busy Saturday morning which is not unusual for any supermarkets. However, only 7 self checkouts available in a queue of 35+ people. When I enquired with the manager Mohammed on why more checkouts could not be opened at the self service he said that it gets too much for assistant to manage more tills. So therefore we must a long period of time for a basket full of groceries so the staff can be comfortable. There are 13 self service checkouts available. I was there 2 days ago and another member of staff opened more than 7 self checkouts when they can see it was getting busy so this is just garbage. If your queues are going back as far as the freezer and people have more than 20+ items in their baskets it's going to take too long but most importantly people cannot get by with the trolleys due to the queues! where is common sense these days your mentally is not that of a manager and you should be demoted.
Such a disgraceful customer service. My fiancée and I go for food shopping to this branch every week and today we were mistreated by a member of staff a black woman we've never seen, so probably new. We asked to speak to the Manager however we were told they were too busy to deal with us. I work in Customer Service/Retail and the clients are always my priority as a shop can carry a business thanks to them. We will reconsider our weekly shopping in this store!
Awful staff especially at self check out, I will stick to my local big Sainsbury's which has wonderful staff. I noticed the bad reviews here which are correct but nothing clearly gets actioned to correct these severe major staff issues. Most of the staff are bad here.
Very poor management and quality of products. Went to do my shopping after a while as I was disappointed with the quality lately. Got a pack of ham expiring on the 25 July and today is the 9th of June well the ham was off and the pack literally half full of water. Immediately as I got to the car and I saw that I went back inside the shop to change it but all of them were thr same ,so I grabbed another type for the same price and went to the till ,the cashier was very helpful and polite and the manager told him to refund the ham and charge for the new one,but the problem is that i have paid on app and he wanted the physical card that I actually didn't have with me. I ask if I could just swap them as the price was rhe same and he refuse but this time with an attitude. I felt embarrassed likening it was actually me doing something wrong and unfortunately left without my money back or replacement item. Not going back there again
