I cannot knock the staff that with there, mostly all very friendly and helpful. My only gripe is the regular security guard that works there. I have seen him in the Lidl on the other side of Old Kent Road at times but he is usually here. He does not know how to talk to people at all. So rude and disrespectful and has argued with me about taking a basket. I was buying one item. Idiot. But like I say, apart from him, the rest are great. Love the refurb.
Very good range and prices, used to love coming here. However, the new store layout has resulted in very narrow aisles which are too small for a trolley at busy times. They have also stopped stocking their Vemondo Bio Tofu which is very disappointing.
I was there today with a trolley as I planned to buy lots of stuff. The security behaviour was disgusting. He kept following me in every corner of the shop. I understand the fact that people can steal, and a closed trolley can be more suspicious, but you can't follow customers like that. Watch in a distance, man, do not come after my back. As a woman, I was not feeling comfortable at all. Such a disgusting behaviour.
Been here a couple of times, good place to do weakly shopping. They have a wide variety of products and a reasonable price. The self checkout area is very handy if you can't stand waiting in line I have tried the pastries here and are quite nice
I have been customer from this Lidl Massinger Street from 14 years. I am really disappointed to see how they remove middle aisle, this Lidl is so sad, doesn't even feel like Christmas is coming. I can never get adjusted to the change of items sections which for me doesn't make sense. Staff with no sense of customer service, rather shouting to customers, new cashiers rushing and smashing your shooping on piles. Big trolleys for stocking managed by staff allways same actitude very rude and making customers to run way. Self checkout staff, it's like you bothering them when need it. So, since it's so stressful to visit this Lidl, I avoid to only strictly necessary. Currently attending to another branch for large shooping. At least, it have more choices and don't feel stress by only looking to the staff.
