"Everyone knows we're Lidl on price. So, it's time to tell you what we're Big on. We're Big on Quality. Big on the big shop. Big on all the things that matter. Big on the things that make cupboards and bellies and life feel fuller. Big on detergent that gets your socks white and cheese that knocks them off. Big on carrots that crunch and chillies with bite. Big on cuisine from far and wide, and meat from local farmers. Big on brands and biscuits and baby stuff and bicycle pumps and butter. We're Big on everything. Except of course, on price, because that's where we'll always be Lidl."

I only shop on a Sunday so can only rate how it is then. It doesnt take long to get busy in here and getting a car park space is hit or miss within an hour of opening. There's also always a que for the tills. They do put more tills on if the ques get too big, but never have enough staff on them to be free of a que. The staff buzz the products through the tills faster than you can pack and don't assist with packing so if your not the quickest at packing your bag you may get a bit flustered. Its not that big of a shop so is limited on its selection of foods yet obviously has all the staples you'll expect. My biggest gripe with the food is the bread on a Sunday tends to have very little use by date on it as if its been there most of the week. Thus makes it impossible to buy bread thst would stay fresh enough to use until my next shop on the following weekend. Staff are lovely, polite and helpful, but do seem to be a bit over worked.
I think if you're rating a supermarket less than 5 stars you need to rethink what you're doing. There's so much pressure on these teams to keep any standards whilst their hours are cut back to the bare minimum. If you're not happy with a product go to customer services online, they're responsible for the quality, and they actually get back to you quickly if you provide everything. Things aren't in stock sometimes, you remember COVID, well it's Brexit now. Get over it.
Nice and clean. Even the previously cheaper shop's prices are ridiculous
Lots of fresh fruit and vegetables, offers and alot to choose from
I'm a regular Lidl shopper, member of the club card etc. I'm increasingly price sensitive, and Lidl are always the cheapest option between the other 2 available supermarkets in Alnwick. I'm writing this review as Morpeth isn't my usual Lidl, and whilst the offerings are the same wherever the Lidl, customer service does vary, which brings me to the reason for this 5* review. The till operative was operating at the platinum standard. The couple in front of me had picked up a damaged item which the operator identified, took off the belt and suggested they get a replacement. One of my items packet of wraps 25% cheaper than Morrisons had a damaged wrapping envelope, she again took it off the belt and sent me off for a replacement. In addition to servicing her own customers, as the queue lengthened, busy pre bank holiday Saturday she got another till opened up. Great service.
Great bargains got things other stores have nt
Love this store! It's always clean and the aisles are evenly spread so there is plenty of room to move past people and see products. There staff are also very helpful and friendly alongside a great range of products.
Love Morpeth Lidl staff are so friendly and helpful
The shop floor and shelves were in disarray! Rude staff. What looked like a Manager on his phone standing in the way while I tried my best to manover over boxes to get something and he just stood and looked at me! Salad that I bought was soggy and water leaking from it? This is the first time I've visited this store or any lidl. I will not be using Lidl ever again!!
Friendly and efficient service and a wide range of fresh and frozen produce. Store layout is easy to navigate and in clearly marked sections. Prices very reasonable. Ample parking now due to the expansion of the car park and you can park for three hours with a Northumberland parking disc.
