I would just like to thank Leanne manager of Ashington for helping me with my Asda rewards. I tried over a week ago and couldn’t use them. A week later tried again, Leanne was so helpful and lovely. Her focus was the customer and she enabled me to spend the reward vouchers. I was a very happy lady. Thank you so much Leanne x
Absolutely disgusted by certain staff, after using scan and go...we tried to pay and the £106 was taken from our account but apparently the shopping wasn't paid for so we had to leave with no food and no money, the team leader called Susan had a disgusting attitude and told us the money would be returned within a few hours. We went back to customer services a few hours later only to be told that it's the banks fault and that we need to contact them, just then Susan came around the corner and quickly turned around, I asked the customer service woman her name and she said that I would have to go and ask her.....I went over but Susan decided to walk away as fast as possible , I caught up to her but she didn't have her name in her badge so had to ask.....can't believe I was made to chase someone around the store to find out her name because they just all have each others backs.
Large store with good amount of choice. Every staff member I've interacted with has been helpful and friendly. Store is located on first floor with escalators, stairs or lifts to get up/down. Toilets are at back of store up a further flight of stairs. Very inconvenient. Store is also nightmare to get to when walking, have to cross a main road on all sides then walk down a further path. Not ASDAs fault but once received verbal abuse from a driver when trying to cross. Picking up order from in store delivery is a nightmare, every time I'm waiting 20+ minutes, and delivery was once missing so trailed to store and waited half an hour to be told they couldn't find it. Store also removed their changing rooms so can no longer try on clothing before buying.
Would just like to personally thank Dylan at ashington store last night I went and done a shop for the food bank and he was so kind and was helping so much! Defiantly needs some recognition for what an amazing person he is!
Brilliant staff. Only issue of shopping after 7pm is the lack of taxis to get home. Nowhere to sit while waiting.
Yet again at customer service / cigarette counter. Some of the staff are very dismissive. We all have off days, but come on smile and carry on. Thursday 29th September tall dark haired lad with glasses. He was eating sweets and not serving, his colleague told him off. He doesn't seem to understand people like hi how can I help etc he's to busy on his headset talking about himself.
I have given this a 2 star firstly I'd like to say I did enjoy my shop at Asda as I have changed supermarkets and the floor staff was polite and friendly however the two lady's at the lottery was rude and had no name badge on there atutueds was so unacceptable the thing was I had spent £70 and the self check lad said your Asda rewards not showing I didn't understand what he meant I went to put my lottery on and asked one of them what did he mean as I scand my membership at the self check out she replied they couldn't do anything about it so I didn't get any rewards but this is what annoyed me there attitude was uncalled for chantering to each other talking about you inftont of you neither had I'd badges on one lady didn't even check my sratch card property And made me feel stupid as I wanted to exchsy them for lottery tickets she insisted one was not a winner I requested another check have grumbled to her colleuge obversly slagging you off was well identified untill she relised she entered the wrong number but no apology how rude and uncomfortable I felt but I am going to email Asda CEO regarding this matter I strongly think some in house training is strongly called for and the manger lieanne is aware of the badge issue and my scanning issues the reason I noticed no badges is I was needing there names for my email but I should of mentioned this to the manger but I'd rather make my complaint to CEO then that's making it not biased among them Overall visit regards to ground staff on shop floor stacking shelfs ext 10/10 And a good inistave to shop on its offers Shame there is some staff that can spoil a good experience .
Since the revamp I felt that it is hard to find what you want from the chilled sections due to lack of labels, I had to look at every single section just to find 1 product, also if item is at back of shelf lets hope you are 6ft tall otherwise you have no hope of reaching it, staff did not seem to care when asked for help, so no I will not be shopping there again, morrissons is by far a much nicer experience
A large store with all the usual products, going through a bit of a transformation and it looks fine. There is cash machines at the front door, car park at the front and rear, pharmacy and cafe instore. There is tills and self service available This is a very busy place at times
Would just like to say a big Thankyou to Asda Ashington for continuing to support us at Ashington Veterans and Elders Institute. We are a charity specialising in leisure facilities for elderly people and we've had many hampers from the store to help us facilitate events to raise our profile and to raise money. Your Community Champion, Andrea has been most helpful in preparing food hampers for our competition days, open mic nights and the latest one, the coffee morning we've organised to help launch our Community Garden. We really appreciate Asda's support, but especially appreciate the way Andrea looks after us. We've got to know her well over the last two years, and feel she actually looks out for ways to keep the support for us going. Thank you again!
