A quaint country pub in Prestbury, great food at a very reasonable price. Always loved the place. Only downside is that you cannot reserve a table but they do their best to accommodate you. Superb quality food!

Excellent friendly welcome/service. Roast meal is a must. Wow. Proper cask beer as well. Hmmm heaven.

Went here for a work Christmas lunch, which was severely underwhelming for £25. One brussel sprout cut in half. Seriously? I've never seen somewhere so stingy with vegetables. No "trimmings" either. Very disappointing. The ale was good and well kept, and the place itself is very nice inside. Wouldn't come back for a group booking, or for food maybe, but would likely call in for a pint.

Had lunch today, 24 Jan '18. The Fish Pie was outstanding. Good wine, friendly staff and a nice relaxed place to enjoy a meal in front of the fire.

Great food and a lovely atmosphere but we had a big group and the service was quite slow. Over an hour until starters came out. The oysters special was delicious
