Room was nice and clean. Window was left open when I got in there so room was cold. Shower had absolutely no hot water at all. Also you had to pay for WiFi, which didn't work. So overall I wouldn't come back.
First time in Macclesfield and first time at this Travelodge.nI was really nervous about staying there after reading some reviews. Especially as I had booked it for a few others too.nHowever, reception staff were courteous and efficient. The rooms were spotless and we had a great nights sleep.nWe were at the rear of the Hotel so no train noise could be heard.
I tried my best with this hotel. The towels smelled bad and the bathroom smelled of mould. We changed the towels and the second set were still dirty as per picture below. The bathroom has a filthy air extractor and it took me one second to run my finger over it and remove the dirt and mould, the sink was covered in a weird dust. I don’t have the patience for a hotel that charges £80 a night but can’t spend seconds cleaning a bathroom.
I stayed here for a night on a business trip. The hotel is pretty standard and exactly opposite to train station. I felt it was value for money and can be used for accessible travel. Although 11£ for breakfast dont make sense as you dont get any fresh breakfast.
Ideal location only a couple mins from the train station with loads of parking nearby. You get what you pay for and I've stayed twice and had no complaints as I literally just needed a bed for the night.
