Always find the staff very welcoming on phone and in person. Loans can vary on timescale. around Xmas usually takes longer to know if you have been accepted due to high volumes. Overall good service been with credit union for years
I've always found the staff to be charming and very helpful. Some staff understandably aren't as knowledgeable on all aspects of banking as you might find in a for profit commercial bank. But you have to keep in mind that they don't get the same level of training or more importantly the same size pay checks as staff at a commercial branch. So maybe all these people giving one star reviews are forgetting this fact and being as rude in person as many of them are in their poor reviews.
Friendly staff, very helpful. A fast and fair service. Great organisation and excells in its mission statement far better than the large financial institutions. Thanks to the staff of LCCU for organising my loan so quickly.
Recently removed funds from my account without any prior warning, due to their error, causing me to miss vital direct debit, shown no sympathy, mocked and accused of theft by staff. Made a formal complaint. More and more like the heartless banks all the time!! Edit: was refunded but no apology for way talked to by staff no reassurance they would be better trained, still unsatisfied.
An excellent Credit Union with very helpful staff. who go above and beyond to help there shareholders 02/05/22: brilliant service, knowledgeable and very patient. And a good wide range of accounts especially for kids...
Months long/messy process. Walked into branch, sorted within five minutes. Staff ok, 5/10 don’t go above or beyond/that welcoming. But ok/not as bad as via email/phone!! 1/10 but not exactly good.... but not horrific. Info: - opening savings account, 4-6 weeks + - waiting on loan ..3+ months. Would use again, maybe....
Rude staff, and manager Ash was very unhelpful and made me feel stupid. I filled in a loan application online, and I ticked business loan, because I didn’t realise that what I actually needed the loan for could of gone under personal. Plus I’ve never applied for a loan for my reason before so wasn’t straight forward for me.It’s not a reason I want to discuss but fact of the matter is with private health care it would help me get back into running my business which has been on hold for 3 years. Anyway, after trying to explain why I picked business loan, he said it didn’t matter because of the application I filled out, it was going to be a no. So why bother trying to ask me what it was for, which he also stated we don’t do business loans. But online you can tick for a business loan. He didn’t even give me opportunity to tell him exactly what I wanted loan for. I could of given him all medical records, all pricing and why it would help with my business. And I could of paid back loan at the monthly amounts I chose. My credit is bang on, but struggling getting a loan because I’m on benefits for now. Thanks for nothing credit union.
