It’s hard to convey just how poor this practice is. An average phone wait time of 45 minutes. To then never be able to get an appointment and told to phone back next week when they realise a few more. A desperate desire to never see a patient in person. This kind of practice is the very reason A&E’s are struggling with numbers as people have to just go there when the doctor literally won’t see them. All about money and nothing to do with care:
This surgery used to be a 5* easily. Since it switched to teldoc you're either on the line for an hour just for it to cut off, or in a queue for an hour for them to tell you to call back tomorrow at 8am. I called at 8! I was on hold for an hour and the line went dead. On hold another hour before someone finally answered. Seeing a doctor these days is damn near impossible. I'm not surprised our A&E is on it's knees. But if you go into the surgery you won't see more than 2 people in the waiting room! Then they'll tell you to phone for an appointment, they don't have access to the appointment system eurgh.
Very poor, spent all morning trying to get through, phone would not even ring out as so busy. When I did eventually get through at midday I was told all appointments gone so try at again at 8am or go to an and and e or call 111. Call centre not really interested in how urgent call was. I really feel for unwell people trying to get through to just speak to a medical professional or avoid unnecessary pressure on hospitals.
Called today at 8am for an appointment, was seen by 11.30. The doctor I saw couldn't have been more professional and thorough. Very grateful to have access to this service and have seen huge improvements recently.
where do I begin... let me take this back to the humble beginning of our first what was meant to be straightforward phone call for a prescription. I am convinced that anyone who works here is held at gunpoint. No one actually gives a straight answer to you. I feel like I was talking to an assortment of bricks at one point. It'll be hard to believe but I had more fun reciting word for word the AI woman on the phone over and over again, rather than tackling a conversation with any of the staff there. BRAINDEAD! After a few hours of having the chase around with the staff, they sent me off to call 111, who sent me back to TelDoc who then sent me back to 111 who THEN SENT ME BACK TO TELDOC. I finally threatened a complaint that I'd be taking this further if I wasn't to get any help with my health issues. weirdly enough, they then had a free "slot" available the same day to have someone call me back and prescribe me with what I needed. In my opinion, if you're in dire/urgent need of care/help with an appointment, you're better off healing yourself through religion. not worth the hassle. Going to pickup my prescription: I feel like when I walked into the building, I felt this energy linger over me. this type of sadness, I have never felt a more depressing presence walk amongst me in all my 22 years of life on this green earth. The building was empty with only myself and the 2 receptionists. One was new, being trained by the other who was too busy munching on her prawn cocktail walkers to take my name at the desk.
Absolutely shocking, rang at 8am as instructed, tried 3 times, option 2 twice, then option 1 only to be informed the calls are at capacity! Worst thing this surgery did was joined Teldoc.
I attended Lawley teldoc to request a letter for a holiday postponement. This was followed up by receptioniist Laura taking great care to provide the necessity document for me in a timely manner. She's polite supportive and displayed great knowledge in her role.
Trying to make an appointment for a week each morning start calling from 0759 lines closed ..by 801 lines are busy!! Really? Shocking service from teldoc Went into surgery twice to try and get appointment. Declined. Only 2 people in waiting room. Response from reception is Phone teldoc at 8am. A and E isn't being helped by this stupid system.
I've only been registered 4 weeks and have had to contact the practice twice so far. I needed a bloods form so completed the e-consult, someone called me back the next day to tell me it was ready to collect. I've been in touch with them today with a concern, the member of staff answered very quickly 3-4 minutes was polite and helpful, spoke to a duty doctor and provided advice and reassurance very quickly. So far so good.
Rang yesterday’s to be told ring back in the morning at eight, call at eight and just hangs up because it’s at capacity !! This is a joke from the NHS what are we paying for ???
