Location: Laurel Cottage is located less than 50 metres from the heart of Bowness-on-Windermere, near the majority of the shops, restaurants and pubs, it is also very close to the piers that host the Windermere lake cruises. Despite this, it is not noisy or crowded near the cottage. Rooms: The rooms are clean and include a shower and toilet, towels, a wardrobe, toiletries, tea and coffee making facilities and biscuits. Service: Rooms are cleaned daily, biscuits and refreshments are also restocked daily. Breakfast is served from 8:30 to 9:30. This was served quickly and was delicious. Overall:9/10 Very good.

Lovely homely cottage in the heart of bowness. It's our second stay here and we will be back again. The staff are extreamly friendly, they can't do enough for you.

This place is amazing. Staff were amazing always. Our room was surprisingly good. Well located to everything, all walking distances. The breakfasts was some of the best I've ever had. Will come again I'm sure.

Excellent bnb. Friendly, helpful staff, very good breakfasts. Good central location for anywhere in the lakes. Was within walking distance of some very good bars and restaurants in the town. We had a back room so was fairly quiet at night. The building itself was originally an 17th century Grammar school and it has a bit of a quirky feel to it with all different stairs and passages that I enjoyed. I have travelled the world over and all the hotels and bnb's blend into one. This one does stand out as something different. Hope you all enjoy it as much as me, my wife and daughter did. Thanks again to Steve and Jodi for making us welcome. June 2017.
