Love this awesome wee South Street hangout area. Took some dancing lessons here to prepare for a wedding and was not disappointed. They have awesome live music at the weekend and the food is cool, tapas style, laid back and tasty home style eats. Not the most popular of places for a bar or eatery but that adds to the vibe, check it out, why not?
Best live music bar in Glasgow. Well worth the extra 10 minutes walk from west end or £5 taxi. Foods great and the staff go the extra mile to make you feel welcome. The decor and ambiance fit just perfect for the mood of this hidden gem. Highly recommend for all ages and lovers of a good vibe! See you again soon
I love my place. And I put my name on it I don't allow in my Kitchen any powder sawses or stokes cubes, shortcuts , etc ... Only fresh ingredients and herbs + spices So if something is wrong please returned back to the kitchen. So it can be put right. I eat in my place every day to ensure that the quality is maintain . Thanks for reading.
I found this place while visiting Glasgow for one day and I am glad I did. The food is very tasty, good prices and the people are so welcoming. They put good music and overall the experience was very good.
2 stars for atmosphere because that's about it. First they didn't have a few things on the menu, the selection on the menu wasn't great so that was a bit restricting, but we stayed anyway because reviews said it was an amazing place. Ordered 6 tapas between me and my wife. Portions are very very small for the prices. Got the prawns for 5 quid, and the plate only had 6 peeled tiny prawns in an off puting garlic sauce. Beef stew ina tiny tiny plate for a fiver again. Squid was a bit old. Spinach pastry pie thing was cold from the inside. Really disappointing dishes. We ate it all because we were hangover and very hungry, the waitress thought we liked it but we were really just hungry and we were gonna pay the 40 quid anyway so we might as well eat. Unfortunately we never really send food away, but really wish I had the guts to do it. Nice atmospher, but expensive pints and food and isnt that great quality. Very disappointed we wasted the money on that.
Went last week for a dub reggae night & had a great time. Very friendly staff & croud. Food was great but small portions. Definitely going to go back.
Great food, relaxed atmosphere and wonderful live music. The staff are just lovely too.
Had an interesting night in this family run venture where you can sample some Spanish tapas over a glass of wine all the while watching a show of Flamenco dancers weaving their fine rhythmic dance techniques of Soleares ,with its deep and heartfelt aspect of lonesomeness building up to Bulerias a fast flamenco dance with palmas clapping They have an extensive vegetarian , vegan , gluten free and lactose free alternatives which i was very impressed with. The show was truly colorful and well choreographed and the women where just beautiful with their Spanish dresses, fans and flowers in their hair. The show was atmospheric and was for all the family. The venue was in the dance studio upstairs and although the amenities are in need of upgrading the venue is full of character and life . Visited October 2016
La bodega is a brilliant place as having both been a customer and an employee I can say with confidence that there is no other place like this one the staff will make you feel welcome and do anything to make you happy and the people are some of the most friendly with amazing stories a plenty it's a shame I have to see it go but then again all good things must come to an end
A wee, hidden gem of a bar...Worth making the quest west to find. Great tapas. Live music. Lovely staff. Maybe I should have kept it a secret ? !
