Amazing evening at the Bandstand. What a fabulous experience. We saw Belinda Carlisle and were right at the front. The atmosphere was fantastic. So electric and comfortable, even when it started to rain. Downside is that drinks are on the expensive side, but the same at any concert venue. Would be happy to go here and see a brand or artist that I wasn't even a fan of just for the experience again. By far the best concert venue I've been too. Felt very intimate, rather than a big venue where you can't see the stage or watching the artist or band on a screen. Looking forward to seeing more acts here. Highly recommended!
Had a great night at Dr Hook on Friday. The event was well set up and very well organised. Shame about the rain but when you live in Scotland it's a risk you take going to an outdoor gig!
Went to see Suzanne Vega open this year's Summer Nights series, good concert with decent sound quality. Nice and atmospheric sitting outside and not crammed full. Great venue as long as you are lucky with the weather.
It’s in such a good spot I wish they did more live events there, hopefully they will! Erm, but have more staff for the mobile bars, the queues were horrible

Fantastic venue when the weather is nice. Great atmosphere and very well organised. Toilets clean . Reasonable bar prices in comparison to other venues. Cracking night. Only downside forgot to take a seat pad.

Was here to see Tide Lines on a very mild October night. Got lucky with the weather and the venue kept their end of the bargain. Sound quality was fantastic which pleasantly surprised us and made it a cracking setting for an outdoor gig. Unfortunately the bar was cash only on the night as the card machines weren't working. Could have snuck in as a five star otherwise! If you don't plan on being up dancing while there bring a wee camping cushion...and some waterproofs just in case.
Live music, outdoors in Scotland, in October, really? Frankly a fantastic evening out - weather was cool & dry after torrential rain the day before, the Bandstand is a great venue & music was fabulous, all within a few minutes walk from great pubs and restaurants, what's not to like?
