Story

Kipling Protyre Crawley is located close to Crawley Hospital and uses some of the same buildings as the original Kipling Cake Factory from which it draws its name. The Kipling motorist centres joined the Protyre network in 2008, with this centre specialising in mechanical repairs and MOTs.

The centre provides an extensive range of tyres from all the leading manufacturers including Pirelli, Michelin, Bridgestone, Continental, GT Radial and Falken. As well as providing tyres and undertaking MOTs and services, the centre will replace brakes, batteries, wiper blades, bulbs and exhausts.

Booked front wheel alignment, The mechanic told me he can't do it ,need to change the front tires because they are worn, I asked him to move the rear wheelswith good tires to the front and then he can do the wheel alignment , and I will change the worn tires later just the wheel alignment needs to be done that day. But He told me he doesn't want to touch it at all. Last time I paid to set up my handbrake but still not good. years ago this was a good garage ,good service. I'm really disappointed and can't recommend this place anymore That was the last time I booked any service here
First class from start to finish. My first visit for MOT. Superb meet and greet, excellent customer service and support. Work all done within the hour. Conducted back to my vehicle by the examiner who was friendly and helpful and obviously very experienced.
I'd tread with caution especially if you're a female. This place has a misogynist attitude and lacks some serious customer service skills. I was laughed at and had one of the staff insult me by making a comment on whether my brain ever works. They also tried to claim that nothing had been booked nor paid for. I took my car in to get a couple of new tyres fitted and for an alignment check. Everything was booked and paid for in advance. It was booked for 10.30 but they'd said don't come in before 11 on the phone and when I arrived around 11, they claimed that nothing had been booked nor paid for. I didn't actually see them check their system once which makes me wonder whether they'd actually booked anything in but instead would fit it in if they had the time... After a few back and forths and feeling concerned I decided to call my Dad and it wasn't until then that one of the guys at the desk miraculously remembered the call about the booking... I already felt uncomfortable and wary as I left my car at the centre and knowing I could well be insulted again when I came to pick it up. It then took until 1pm for them to call to say they weren't able to fit the new tyres due to a damaged locker. I also found out when picking the car up that they'd also not done the wheel alignment. It's not even the fact that the job wasn't completed that I'm giving this centre a 1 star, it's the way I was treated by the staff who work there. Fair enough if you like to 'banter' with your colleagues but for a new customer commenting on whether my brain ever works and making me feel uncomfortable, is not the way to treat a customer and I for certain will not be returning, nor will you have any customers from the people I've already shared my story with. I'm also surprised that having raised the complaint with customer service, that the area manager's response was to say the centre manager doesn't believe any rudeness occurred. I'd hope that a comment like that would have been treated seriously and would have been reviewed further beyond someone at the centre who clearly is happy to lie to cover their employees backs... It's a shame the company are happy with having employees who treat people like that representing their brand.
The people here are always extremely helpful, honest and cheerful. The work they do is faultless and their pricing has always been lower than other garages, even when I first went there. 11/10 would recommend. You will not go wrong with these guys.
After placing an order through Asda tyres like many others and booking a slot for fitting off the back of the great reviews I have to share my experience for balance. I took a day off to have this job done on a car that's needed for commuting thinking I'd "booked" a slot only to have it cancelled by the centre because "they have no capacity". I can appreciate that things happen beyond control of a business proprietor sometimes and I'd be okay with that IF someone made a decent effort to contact me. I had to find out the night before because I happened to be sifting junk email, I'd had order confirmations etc; I thought this was booked, done and dusted bar the wrenching. Someone should have called me/left a voicemail/sent an SMS and I might have stood a chance of finding a solution. I'm now left with a car that's not safe for a long commute next week running on the space saver after a puncture the only trip it will be making is to a tyre shop and facing the prospect of losing a day's holiday too. I've been left in the lurch and out of pocket. This is not how you maintain a decent reputation.
My go to place for tyres, lovely people. Always friendly, patient and understanding. Good workmanship and competitive pricing via blackcircles or asdatyres.
A trusted and brilliant local garage they are highly recommended locally across social media and I can see why!. Friendly staff, competitively priced and none of that typical garage nonsense of upselling/extra bits "need" doing. They are a quite busy garage but will do their best to fit you in where they can and are worth the wait. Any issues we've had were resolved quickly and done properly. Would recommend!
Although I bought my tyres through Asda Tyres who provide a huge selection of tyre manufacturers, Kipling Motorist Centre was the closest one that fits tyres for Asda going by my post code. I was given a date and time of when they could fit all 4 of my tyes, and when I dropped off the car I was told it would take approximately 40 minutes as I also took the wheel realignment option at the point of purchase. So I popped into town, had a coffee and did a bit of shopping and returned to the car centre 40 minutes later, just as they were finishing the tracking. They had protected the drivers seat with a plastic fitted bag, provided the report on the adjustment of the tracking and cannot fault them in any way. It was a very smooth process from beginning to end. No greasy hand marks on the wheels or anywhere on the car. Highly recommended.
I cannot recommend this garage enough. The staff were amazing, polite, respectful, knowledgeable and professional. I explained that I wanted to use klarna which they accept to pay for my tyres, but was offered a service they provide that works out cheaper!! It is very quick and easy to use. The work was carried out within the time frame given to me. I will be using them again for when the time comes. They are a reasonably sized community garage with a very welcoming feel!
