Overall a very professional experience. Great communication on the progress of work to be done. The staff were very pleasant and interactive with my 8 year old daughter. We will be booking with them again.

Took my car for an MOT and was quoted advisories for all new brakes at £500, was told the front brakes were 1.6mm, so 0.1mm off a fail. Told them I'd do the front myself, they were actually 2.2mm. Charged around £40 for brake fluid change and they MOT failed my new halfords wiper I had fitted two days before, replaced it with an expensive bosch aeroblade. Ridiculous. Advisories for three wheels as well, which are actually well within limits. If I didn't know anything about cars I'd be around £400 worse off from their advice and the total would have been £600+ on a car not worth too much more!

Rubbish. They did a MOT on my car although it was not due ( I took it for brake disks replacement ), during this undue MOT they found a problem and failed it but as soon as they found out that the MOT was not due, they passed the MOT again so they won't have to pay for the repair. How serious is that ? Later we found that one of the rear break pad was loose after being replaced by them during the same service. I do not recommend them. I complained to Halford they even did not bother coming back to me.
