The music was surreal, delicate, exquisitely beautiful. A tragic story was interwoven with Art and the result was heartbreaking. All that sorrow became almost unbearable at the end.. "You rise, I fall"... I was deeply moved by "The Sacred Veil", it was an amazing experience.
A modern multifunctional Arts Centre, Museum and Canal side Restaurant. 2 Concert Halls with lecture hall. A great place for Folk, Country, Coral and modern music and art.
Great venue for the Uncanny Con podcast festival. Although after 6-hours the seats aren't that comfortable! The drinks are very pricey, but the venue is clean and tidy and there's plenty of space to move around between sittings. Luckily King's Place has great transport links and lots of bars and restaurants in the area.
I like Kings place, it's an office, yes, but also work space, conference space and music venue. I have enjoyed all of these things, over a few visits. It's a very clean space, maybe a model for what other buildings could become, rather than being just a single function perhaps...
Excellent concert venue in King's Cross. It comprises two halls. Hall One has a capacity of around 400 and Hall Two is about half the size. The venue also includes an art gallery specialising in sculpture, a restaurant and a bar. Kings Place puts on a wide range of musical performances including classical, contemporary, jazz and folk. The sound quality, particularly in Hall One, is excellent. Our recent visit was to see a performance by the brilliant Colin Currie Quartet.
Such a great venue! Easy to get to on foot or wheelchair from King's Cross train station, accessible, and a great variety of events. Wonderful sculptures and other art in the foyer and around the venue really makes it feel special.
This was the first time we’ve visited this venue and was really impressed. Clean, well organised and well staffed. We went to see Russell Howard and it was really busy however the team really managed the event well. Queues were short and the service at the bar was really quick during the interval.
I did a review a few years ago and the site altered it, inaccurately, to the We Work offices upstairs. Now corrected. Fine venue, admin and sightlines but the sound wasn't so good on the 2022 Talisk outing.
I watched the Pembroke College Choir's performance in Hall 1. The acoustics of the hall was really good. The temperature of the room was great. The chair was soft.
A hidden gem of a performance venue. Excellent acoustics and visibility. A wonderfully varied musical programme. Seemingly less widely known by the public, it deserves a bigger audience.
