Visited for a family member's birthday, older crowd so was the perfect place, very grand old house, idyllic setting, comfortable lounge prior to taken to our seats in the conservatory for our afternoon tea, very much a family affair. The offerings were delicious, all locally produced & baked apart from the Cornish clotted cream, but come on that's the best cream so they nailed it here! ,the ladies enjoyed some nice prosecco and the drivers were supplied with coffee on abundance. Perfect setting for some quiet peaceful family time with some indulgence thrown thanks to the great custodians of this hidden retreat guest house. Recommended! Will be back in summer to enjoy the garden & sea views!
We have stayed in 4* hotels that paid less attention to the details than our wonderful hosts at Kiltearn. From the offer of getting dinner delivered and a table set for us, to directions for nearest car charge points, excellent selection of tea in the room, with fresh milk in a small fridge, the toiletries, the amazing home-grown raspberries at breakfast, the local produce, the view of the Cromarty Firth, the comfortable and welcoming living room - you get the idea. Absolutely bowled over! Thank-you.

Our best night in the highlands. This place is exactly what you envision when thinking of a house in the highlands. It’s cosy, warm, relaxing, in the middle of nature. You can sit by the fireplace and enjoy the views. The host is very attentive and very nice. The breakfast was lovely too. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and a lot of attention is given to little details such as having a nice piece of lemon cake for each guest in the rooms. And it makes a big difference. Would stay again.
I can't recommend this place highly enough!! Amazing peaceful location, with great views from the rooms over the countryside and /or the lake. The hosts are fantastic and really interested in ensuring that you have a pleasent stay. Since we like our peace and privacy, we are always weary of staying in small Bnbs, however Kiltearn house is super quiet, the rooms are well soundproofed and the owners are very respectful of the guest's privacy.
Beautiful quiet location with a heavenly view... Highly recommend the walk along the shore, it was very relaxing... the hosts take utmost care to make you comfortable during your stay, and even arranged a table for us for a takeaway dinner!
Wonderful location, house is cosy and with all the comforts. Rooms are clean, bright and spacious. Ed, the owner, is kind and professional. Breakfast is locally produced and it was amazing! Price was surprisingly competitive. Overall a very pleasant experience!
Very cozy and romantic. The staff was always helpful and friendly. Felt like home being here. The breakfast options are also really great and the conservatory gives a bit extra to it.
Really welcoming and peaceful place to stay. Room was confirmed wth a nice ensuite including shower. WiFi was excellent and I had a few view TV plus a kettle etc. Walks down to the Firth and along the coast are literally on your doorstep. End and Nell three proprietors couldn't have been more helpful, even driving me to and from the local pub for my evening meal.
We stayed at the hotel as part of a socially distanced wedding and it was the perfect reception venue. The hospitality was excellent and the setting was beautiful. I would highly recommend it.
