Rooms was extremely cold when we arrived. The heater was off and it was just after a very cold and snowy week. Made sleeping the first night horrible. Took two days for the room to warm enough. Food for breakfast was great 3 mornings out of 4. Didn't eat at the hotel in the evening but was told it was very good. Place it's self could do with a good bit of TLC. Somethings could do with a refresh. In the rooms and the hotel in general.

Good food available throughout the day. There is also a bar for alcohol. Large stately building with a large carpark in the centre of Tain. Very high standard of service, and the staff and owner appear to be very pleasant people.

Great dog friendly hotel. great food for a great price, great staff.

One star is being generous. Went for lunch. The homemade burger was a pile of undercooked gunge that was totally inedible. Wasn't till after that we were informed that the chef was off ill. Think he had a burger. I had fish and chips which to be fair were decent. Should have complained but paid and left..no tip.

Food was really nice but my room required updating. Large damp patch on the bathroom wall
