Amazing Japanese restaurant in the heart of Mayfair. Very friendly and welcoming with attentive and helpful staff. Regular seating on the ground floor but also sushi counter seating on the first floor/ mezzanine area. Eating at the counter is an experience and the chefs work with you at your own pace, guiding you through the menu. A place for a special occasion, but well worth it and highly memorable!
One of the best Japanese restaurants in London. Been established for long time for a good reason. Price was on the pricey side but it reflects on the quality and freshness of the fish and food. If you want authentic and traditional Japanese food, this is the place. Staff were very detailed-minded and very welcoming.Food: 5/5
One of the more authentic tasting Japanese cuisine around London. Food hasn't been overdone with excessive amount of salt, soy or sugar that you normally find catered for the masses! Would definitely be coming back. Booking seems to be a must as the place was quite full over lunch time. Not exactly the cheapest place but it's worth it if you're willing to spend! Uni nigiri was divine
Went here for dinner Email booking and pretty fast respond All Japanese staff and chef Very comfortable places Had a set and some extras See photos Quality is honestly not the best I had but so far so good with the value in this neighborhood Some dishes are pre cooked Rice could be better brand But so far pretty ok to me There are few nearby Stars Japanese restaurants cost u few hundreds per person Depending on what u want, this place is more affordable to most people with quality food Stop by
First time there and surprised with the variety of the menu in terms of dishes. The California roll though was the big surprise using low grade/quality surimi sticks which were chewy and flavourless. The soft-shell crab roll and shrimp tempura roll were not the best I’ve had. The restaurant offers a lovely grilled salmon belly dish which was on the seasonal special and a butter soft black cod with no glazing and minor seasoning which was a remarkable elevation of the taste uncommon to Japanese restaurants, a lot of fish bones came in too, watch out!! The sashimi and nigiri we ordered had still skin on it and didn’t taste the freshest I’ve ever had.
Food was delicious and very authentic! Lunch sets are a great way to try different things, and can be complemented with some a la carte options!Food: 5/5
One of the best experience that I’ve ever had! You can eat the unique flavors of traditional Japanese cuisine in a minimalist restaurant, away from ostentation. The products are very fresh and premium quality. Especially their sukiyaki, sushi, udon and ice creams are incredible. I will visit again and again.Recommended dishesHot Pot, Salmon Sashimi, Udon EBI Tempura, Deep-Fried Tofu, Beef Sukiyaki
Excellent Japanese food in the heart of Mayfair. Immaculate service and well worth the price. One of the oldest family owned Japanese restaurant and a wonderful institution. Great for sushi but also other japanese dishes.Food: 5/5
Incredible. This is the most authentic Japanese food I’ve tried outside of Japan, and the quality is just outstanding. Very reasonably priced, too: we paid around £100 for a starter, a very large amazing sushi platter probably 20 pieces, a desert and two drinks. I love that here you pay for the food and you get real value for your money, not those fake plastic pink “trees” and other instagramable nonsense as in so many other places.
Authentic Japanese restaurant. Price is very high but quality is also high. Well trained staffs and full of Japanese atmospheres. worth to pay for Japanese living abroad and missing home or would like to try Japanese food, not only sushi. I didn't make a reservation for lunch but it was full after 12:30. Might be better to make a reservation before visit.
