I can only speak for the indoor setting but we enjoyed a beautiful meal here. We both agreed that this was some of the best Asian food in London. It was Valentine’s when we went so we got to enjoy a lovely tasting menu and sample many different dishes. Don’t miss this place if you love sushi!
Had a wonderful lunch here for my birthday with my family. We opted for the Fab 7 course brunch and it was so so good. We started with a cocktail each which were all different and unique. Then the good started arriving and the pace was great- not too slow that we were waiting on food but also not rushed through courses that we couldn't enjoy the food and the experience. Each course was served beautifully and plentiful for us to share. We had one vegie and one pesceterian in the group and they accommodated them well too. Oh and did I add you get a half bottle each too which was a treat! Decor is simple and elegant and staff are friendly and accommodating. Enjoyed the experience a lot and will return again.
Absolutely amazing sake masterclass with lunch. A bargain really and such wonderful thoughtful hosts with amazing knowledge and passion for sake. One of the best events I've ever attended. Wonderful lunch and the whole experience was first class from start to finish. This was a real memorable gem. Thank you Anthony, Christine and the wonderful staff at Sake no Hana!!!
Fine Japanese Dinning, so expect to pay for the quality. Be prepared for about £100 per person for a good lunch and probably £150 for dinner - both estimates does not include sake. Superb presentation and service. If you are here for lunch, don’t miss visiting the Dr Harris shop nearby and of course the Kingsmen too.
Nice food but poor service and overall not worth the price compared to other restaurants of this standard. I would rate it 3.5 stars. We went for dinner on a Saturday to celebrate my birthday and went for the tasting menu, a cocktail each and a couple of bottles of sake. For context, the restaurant was about 80% full when we started at 8pm, but was much emptier as we approached 10, with the meal ending at 11pm. While the food was generally nice slightly lower quality -but still good- sushi than I expected for the price but no complaints otherwise, one of my friends only received her cocktail ordered at the start once we were halfway through the set courses, after repeatedly asking. The first bottle of sake took about 20-30 minutes to arrive and then was brought cold even though the waiter had asked us and we had chosen warmed sake. The second bottle ordered later took closer to 40 minutes to arrive, and that after we asked about it 4 times. All food items shown are from the set menu.
We had a vegan 6 course set menu. Great cocktails included at £51 per head. Sorry I forgot to take pics of each course. Nice meal, friendly staff we were there for 2.5 hours. No one was rushing us. No child seats available.
Hi everyone. Bottom line: we ordered the Hana tasting menu for two. We were disappointed. Food was tasteless. Cost: £169 with sake and service charge. Details: - Sashimi was of excellent quality - the rest of the dishes were not specifically memorable or special tempura, aubergine, etc - Salmon was okay but I am afraid I make this type of salmon better at home with a fabulous crusty skin and a wonderful sake/honey/soy glaze. - rolls were okay. All in all, we felt that too much emphasis was made on the interior, ambiance, service, and other “shiny” things but the food was left as an afterthought. We felt that it was not worth the money, not even a little bit. Don’t get me wrong. I am not a cheap guy. I’d travel to a country specifically to eat at a given restaurant. I went to Tokyo just to eat. I’d spend £170 on a tasting menu with wine pairing any day if we left amazed and blown away. Just not here.
We had a lovely time at Sake no Hana. The space is crafted beautifully with bamboo pillars, and everyone was very welcoming. We both ordered bento boxes - wagyu beef and the salmon - but made the mistake of filling up on the soup and edamame before the main course arrived! The beef was perfectly done and melted in your mouth. The sushi and sashimi is so fresh and intricately done - faultless. We did wish there were more options with the bento, such as tempura, but we managed well even so. We also tried the cherry blossom tea which had an amazingly sweet and fragrant aroma. The sake sampler was a lovely experience as well. We would definitely recommend Sake no Hana for a nice evening out!
Good food, good service, but rude hostess. They forced us to leave to get the table back from us before even finishing serving us. They only served us 2 dishes and assumed we were already done before serving the main or dessert. I understand that we were 5 minutes late, but if you don't even know what you have and have not served, you don't deserve to run a restaurant. That's the basics of running a restaurant. Never coming here again.
Had a really nice time here. The restaurant is up a little escalator and has quite a few tables. There are a wide selection of menu options, a few different tasting menus and an al a carte. The tasting options are good value, and we enjoyed every dish. I would definitely come back!
