We have visited a few times, we live fairly locally. It's a small intimate venue , supporting new and established acts. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is a well stocked bar area, which occasionally also offers hot drinks. Parking is on local roads, but there is usually plenty of room, as the venue only seats 100 people. Outside seating area, where you can relax until the performance starts. Our latest gig was Dean Friedman, great evening with lots of audience participation. Definitely recommend, but beware - the tickets go very quickly !
Good venue for live events. We saw Hal Crudenden comedian, panel shows, mock the week, etc. Excellent act. Slightly disappointing that the venue doesn't sell draught ales, only bottles, and a little bit pricey for the area. Venue was also quite warm towards the end, with over 100 people in a fairly small room. Air conditioning would help, and would have made it 5 stars! Recommended.
really odd place. It's a great little music venue, but the fact that the pub part is now closed means you cant find it, as it's basically completely dark at the front ! No lights, no sign, nothing. A tiny little side entrance with a few lights behind is the only indication that you've found the right place. The only reason i found it is because I turned round to go and ask the man on the ladder if he knew where it was ! That is the only reason for the 3 stars. The venue is small , quirky, but the main area is good for music.

Absolutely adore this venue for more reasons than I can detail, but I'll try. The regular comedy shows suite the small, intimate venue very well, though even music gigs work very well here too. The atmosphere and decor here is something special. Staff are outstanding and always friendly, they always do their best to host a great show. Plenty of outside seating for relaxing before a show. There are currently two bars inside, with a third being built outside too! Drinks prices are very reasonable, and there is a fairly wide selection of beer/cider cans/bottles available no taps, as well as an impressive spirit selection too. PLEASE NOTE: The old main pub area upstairs is closed nowadays! The entrance is now round the side gate at the back of the pub. Venue opens specifically for shows nowadays, whether that be music or comedy.
All my visits to Katie's have been such great nights out. The live music venue is superb, the atmosphere brilliant and the staff warm and welcoming. In a day and age when live music needs every live music to stay open, this place is definitely a must visit.
