A typical harvester nestled into the shop and food premises around the marina. Parking is plentiful and free which is a bonus. The seating area was a little worn and tired and was taped at one corner which is why the review is 4*. Generally the tables and seats were clean as was the menus. Annoyingly though the salad bar is no long help yourself so you have to dictate to the server what you would like. Soft drinks are free refills and the area was tidy and clean. Food was hot and served quickly with plenty of choice from the menu, and the staff appear helpful and willing to help with food choices. Puddings are large and the children’s portions are quite a size so there’s no need to fill up on bread rolls. If the restaurant could sort out the decor then this is a good place for family dinning.
Had a lovely meal here, the staff were more than accommodating and allowed us to order flatbreads on a Sunday when they should only be Mon-Sat. So glad you can do your own salad again! Dietary restrictions: Sesame allergy was accommodated
Lovely clean restaurant. Cheerful helpful staff. Salad bar and great food at a good price. Highly recommended
Went for Sunday lunchtime at 12pm for 7 people, including 2 children. Service was overall quite slow due to lack of staff. Long time between being sat down and then taking out drinks order. Equally long time before taking our orders. When it came to ordering food we then found out that there were almost no chicken dishes available including the half roast chicken - should have been told this when we were first given our menus. We only knew that ribs were off the menu due to a sign at reception area. Salad bar OK but not enough pasta. Mains came out reasonably quickly and we're mostly OK. My gluten free meal came out with breaded onion rings on the plate. Sirloin Steaks were not up to scratch according to a couple on our table due to them having a lot of fat on them and rather gristly. Took a very long time between finishing meal, getting dessert menus and them taking our order for desserts. We would have skipped the desserts had our youngest child at the table not wanted their included dessert. Have found different Harvesters having same problem with slow service this year and overpriced for the quality, portion sizes, and lacklustre service. Hungry Horse now much better and much cheaper in comparison.
Hmm I honestly don't know which side I fall on this one. I found staff slightly obnoxious and rude regardless of the "covid" there is no excuse in my eyes for bad customer service Overall price for food was good £42.00 for 2 adult meals and a kids meal and 3 drinks cutlery was dirtyyou can see from the picture even the portion sizes were not the best but hey ho what do you expect from mediocre, and cleanliness in the toilets not the best either
Lovely service, attentive staff, drinks made well. Salad bar was mostly empty unfortunately, but what we did get was good.Food: 3/5
Quick to be seated but then long wait to be served. Only 2 girls running food and taking orders. At times no server on the floor what so ever for a good while. No drinks menu available. Salad bar not kept full. Definitely not the best harvester we have visited
Popped in here as a family to eat after visiting glowballs. Our server was excellent and had top notch banter. Food arrived in good time and was of a good standard. Also accommodated dietary requests without any issues. Would recommend. Kid-friendliness: Kids welcome, have packs for them to occupy themselves with. Parking: The Marina has 4 hours free car parking.
Just had our office Christmas lunch. All food was great. Delivered hot and timely by a lovely lady server. My prawn starter was lovely especially the sauce Roast turkey was generous thick slices and not dry at all. All veg was good and red cabbage particularly yummy!!! Would definitely recommend Thanks Sarah and the Team from JDA Tax and Accountancy Marine Trade Centre Vegetarian options: Had I not wanted turkey, there were lovely veg and vegan options. A colleague had the roasted squash and said it was delicious Wheelchair accessibility: Did not need access but there was a lift to restaurant area and a wide ramp to the seating
I’ve been a couple of times now with my family. This visit was just as lovely as the others. It was my mother in laws birthday and our waitress - Edyta - very kindly placed a candle in her dessert and sang her happy birthday! She gave great service throughout our meal and made a nice night even better.
