What a lovely pub, good music, nice vibes, garden space. And on Mondays they do retro gaming nights so we had so much fun playing consoles!
Really love going here for afternoon drinks. The staff are all super friendly and welcoming and happy to have a short natter while at the bar. A nice collection of drinks and ciders on tab and they are dog friendly with snacks for good doggos. Well worth a visit and has become one of my go to pubs in Brighton.
Classic English pub. Friendly staff. Best to have a reservation has a nice open space as well. Great for big groups and events. Will definitely visit again. Sunday Roast
I posted a pretty scathing review of The Amsterdam after it was taken over a year or so ago, but only coz I have lived near it all my life and I care. Went back last night and they have new staff and a new menu and it was spot on. 4 good meals, good beer, nice service. Had steak as it was steak night but would have it again at full price. Great to see. Please keep it up!
Nice pub, I had a long conversation over beer with a complete stranger, and that was after a long time! This place certainly is dog friendly. I liked this pub
Had some lovely drinks served by the most friendly staff with a sense of humour. Love that there are toys for dogs aswell as children dog beds and water bowls alongside treats to ensure the whole family are welcome.
Tasty food, great atmosphere, food took a little time to arrive but arrived pipping hot and all of us got served together, it was an excuse to get another drink so who cares about a little wait! Much rather it's right than rushed. Thank you, also great service and welcoming staff.
Fun quirky vibes, relaxed atmosphere, the perfect pub! Not too loud and not too quiet. It is the sweet spot of Kemptown. Friendly staff, great selection of local beers, clean loos, huge outside area! I would reccomend for all occasions

Lovely atmosphere , great food , had pork , roast potatoes out of this world crispy on the outside , fluffy inside , would definitely recommend .
