I've been coming here for years and every time I've been I've had a great time, had fun and never had a negative experience. This place can get very busy so might be advisable to book in advance, just depends when you're wanting to go, sometimes I've booked, sometimes I haven't but have been able to get in just depends if you don't mind queuing. The karaoke rooms are basic but well equipped, you can order drinks and food snacks via a touchscreen in the room with contactless payment. The music choices are a combination of Japanese and English songs I THINK they also have a Chinese selection as well, they had quite a good selection and I certainly wasn't short on choices although I'd love it if they could add some Madness songs, please The staff are very professional, friendly and helpful, they even organise if you want the air conditioning on or not.I'd always recommend this place because I always have a fun time every time I go.
I booked a 3-hour session 9 pm to midnight for my birthday, they texted me a few hours before to say they're actually closing at 11 pm. Offered me a refund for the unused hour but I would have appreciated a call and maybe some complimentary drinks when they messed up my evening with almost no notice. The room is super crammed and it's pretty much impossible to get out without making everyone else move, let alone bust some moves as you're butchering your favourite tunes. The sound is terrible, the lyrics were out of sync on a couple of songs, and there's zero atmosphere. On the brighter side, the staff were friendly and helpful and they didn't kick us out at 11 pm on the dot. Overall I wouldn't recommend this place. Perhaps it's cheaper than other places but you'll be getting much less for your buck here.
Used to be cool. A launderette in front, Japanese book shop in the middle, and hidden karaoke at the back made it a quirky and interesting place to visit. The decision to redo it all into a posh-looking expensive venue was a mistake, in my opinion
was quite nervous to come here because of the reviews but my friends and i ended up having a great time!! the worker got us the karaoke room really quickly and was super nice and set things up for us by explaining everything and was easy to reach if we needed any help. ac was amazing in the karaoke room, the system was great it was all in japanese, the price was great, the only issue i would say is that there were some songs missing but i didnt mind at all since it’s primarily a japanese karaoke place : the room we were personally in fit 4 people very easily! would definitely come here again we had great fun
Fun, the rooms are very small and not a good selection of songs for non mandarin speakers, I thought they would have updated songs regularly
Rooms have AC, which is necessary since they're small and the door will be closed. There is a good selection of good and drinks, although I can only confirm the drinks are nice. Unfortunately there are two machines you can operate for the songs, and the WiiU is Japanese only. The other one is English and Chinese. However, for both machines the unintuitive UI makes it hard to find songs. There is also a severe lack of alternative rock songs.
Guys I know that we're desperate for a good karaoke place just like what we have back home. But this place ain't it. The sound system is absolutely attrocious, the karaoke system is like what we'd get back home in the 90s and the music is so old. Don't pay that much money to come here guys.
I would NOT recommend spending your money here. The room we were put into was absolutely tiny and had a very bright light overhead that we could only have on or off leaving us in pitch black. The sound system was absolutely awful. The speakers had blown meaning there was no bass and everything was very distorted. The mics and music also cut out multiple times wasting the time we had booked. We told the staff about these issues who admitted that the system was broken and said that we could have our money back for the time we hadn't used. We'd travelled from out of London for this and so felt this wasn't an option. After the music had cut out multiple times we spoke to them again and they admitted that the room we were in had technical problems and it wasn't acceptable, but continued to say we couldn't have a refund and no doubt continued renting it out after we'd left. The music system also didn't have a great selection. Popular songs were unavailable due to copyright issues... and those that were available sounded awful due to the blown speakers. We all felt bad for the staff who were all clearly working somewhere that didn't have the infrastructure/ technology to deliver a good enough service. I would heavily advise you do not book here.
Ryo was an absolute g and helped us with navigating the Japanese menus and he complemented my shirt : Extending was a breeze since We were having so much fun. “Takoyaki slapped” according to my friend tj. Will go again when back in London
I wish I could give this place no stars! Completely shoddy! £20 per person, and all songs are in madarin, the rooms are horrible and they have a very limited selection. You order the drinks in the booth and they don’t have any basic drinks like gin and tonic or vodka and coke, just overpriced rubbish! They microphones have terrible feedback and the base is off so nothing sounds good. Considering they are a karaoke bar, you would do better with a PlayStation 2 singstar and that’s saying something!! Shocking! Spent £200 between us and I can say, I would rather have gone home than gone here! Been to many karaoke places in London and this place is embarrassing. Honestly please avoid!!!
