Went to the Holborn site recently for my with 16 others. Had a wonderful time. Equipment easy to use. Couple hiccups in booking process.. but Andrew was great sorting this out. Huge selection of songs, we all had a really great time.
Disappointing experience at the Oxford Street branch. Despite booking karaoke in advance, staff were unaware upon our arrival, leading to a 45-minute delay. Overwhelmed staff struggled to assist, and the room was uncomfortably hot with malfunctioning equipment. Unexpected charges for extending our time left us dissatisfied. Rude treatment when asking to use the restroom was unacceptable. Notably, additional charges were levied without prior notice. Second visit was a stark contrast to a previous positive experience. Requesting a refund. Improvement needed for future customers.
This was not a great experience for me and my friends. We enter the establishment having all ready discussed the price set for us to pay. The owner had no intention of telling a single one of our party the price had been changed. We use the karaoke room which is quite subpar. The wall was leaking, most of the music sounded altered, chairs were spread out and uncomfortable, there were only two microphones for our party of twelve which were loud and scratchy sounding. the toilets were dirty The atmosphere was generally quite unaccommodating but that was not even the worst part. When we had finished our two hours, we were now being charged extra which we would have had to pay 240 pounds instead of the 100 pounds agreed upon before. Please bear in mind that we are very young adults still in education so as you can imagine shelling out an extra 140 pounds was very stressful and inconvenient. All in all, this was a colossal waste of money and time and we were set up by the owner due to his inability to communicate changes in prices
Beautiful pub! Trying to visit British Museum we got stuck in here for a whole afternoon. Saturday mid-day it was quiet and perfect chatting and getting drunk with a friend. We ended up spending one hour at the museum.
It's a great place for casual drinks but also for Karaoke events for larger groups. There is a smaller room at the 1st floor and a larger at the 2nd floor which can be used for Karaoke parties. We had a great time there with my colleagues.
Food was ok. My aperol spritzer was lovely but the espresso was horrid. Staff aren't the greatest though perhaps because it was off peak time.
Unreliable, unprofessional and a crook. Avoid at all costs. Happy to take full payment months in advance and then left with an incorrect booking a week before my birthday, which I only uncovered through contacting the venue directly myself. No apology or attempts to right his massive, massive mess up. I had to chase relentlessly to receive a refund. Avoid at all costs and go directly to venues.
I booked the private room at The Old Crown Inn for a surprise birthday. It was great! Andrew was really helpful and nice throughout the process. On the night everyone had a great time. We will definitely be back! The karaoke room was big, comfortable and great place to have a good time with friends. Thank you!
Hard to find, and staff were very dismissive and rude. We were late for our booking to be fair due to aforementioned difficulty in finding, the staff thereafter ushered us away at a rate of knots. The above mentioned casting being done despite the fact that signage was not visible as to which establishment existed at the location. Furthermore, my girlfriend was denied access to use their bathrooms for a quick toilet break before they cast us out into the freezing London air. Overall, very poor experience and would not recommend booking there for karaoke with so many other options available.
Very poor experience. Visited for a friend's birthday which had to start an hour late due to a double booking by the venue. Furthermore, none of the microphones in the room worked! One staff member in particular was extremely rude, moving us out of the room half way through our allotted time another staff member told us we had use of that room all night to an upstairs room that smelt like a wet market and didn't even have a karaoke machine! Very poor, avoid. I should also add I've been holding off writing this review in the hope the venue responds to my friend's refund request, but it's been a month and still nothing. Awful.
