Went for a family meal. Two had burger and chips, chips were great. I had Thai green curry, nothing like it! Looked like pea soup! Didn't taste like much. Got charged £10 for a large glass of wine. Wouldn't bother going again, except for a plate of chips.
Food was very good. Tasty and delicious. Service was excellent, Omar had a good manner and tended to all our needs promptly and efficiently. Thanks, excellent roast dinner and the kids loved their Steak and Ale Pie.
I love coming here. The staff are lovely, the food is delicious I have spotted a few mistakes get through the kitchen. But they always do and everything was rapidly sorted with quality service. Their allergy indications are excellent and make it easy to tweak a meal to dietary requirements. They regularly serve Hop Head my favourite beer which I will admit does make me a little biased as to liking them so much The play area in the garden is a godsend and well maintained. Some of the garden tables have seen better days on top but are sturdy and don't move when you sit down. Haven't eaten inside since pre-pandemic now but it's always been cozy in the winter and the skittles are fun.
Good sized pub but quiet when we went. Food was good. They had drinks offers daily and a special with Fish and Chips and a bottle of wine thrown in on Fridays. Its a little out of the way so not so busy when we went on A Friday evening...much better choice for a Saturday or Sunday lunch during the summer with a great beer garden.
This is the best pub around. Brilliant food and service every time we've been there. We liked it so much, we booked there for Xmas day 2022, and it was unbelievable! The chefs are superb. All the staff are happy and friendly. Highly recommend
Went for my birthday weekend, they made us feel very special, balloons and a drink on the house! All the waiters were lovely, food was delicious and the whole atmosphere was great!
Last night myself and a group of friends had a brilliant night at the Jolly Farmer, Blacknest playing skittles and a basket meal which was so good, thank you Chef. Elliott and Megan were so good, polite and accommodating ensuring our night went very smoothly thank you both. I would certainly go back food and service service throughout have been excellent. Once again Thank you all.
Unfortunately we went to this pub for dinner on my mums last night in England, visiting from Canada. The pub was empty, which isn't a problem but we would of expected the food to be good, the drinks to be served within a normal time frame and the coffees to be hot but non of this was the case. We mentioned to the waitress and her customer service skills were pretty rubbish to say the least, without an apology for our disappointment. We will not be going back or recommending.
Love going to this pub. Its my parents local and its always does great food and drink. Only criticism is that it is quite pricy for what it is.
Food excellent. Service friendly and prices not too bad. Clean and comfortable seating. Yes I like it
