Lovely local pub, food was fantastic and the drinks selection is great. Normally the younger people behind the bar are lovely but this trip we had an older not to offend him gentleman and he was just fantastic. Patient with us whilst we decided what to drink. Very attentive and an all round delight. Some lovely beers on offer on top of your typical lagers. Food wise the chicken katsu curry fries are to die for. A meal in itself. I’m a fiend for some chicken wings and these were just great and huge. The menu gives the option of 3/5/7 so the price looks a bit pricey but once they came and you see that they are the whole wing and not 1 wing split into 2 you realise it’s actually more 6/10/14. Both the chicken burger and the beef burgers tasted fantastic. Really can’t go wrong eating at this pub.
I visited with my bestie who was over from Tel Aviv. We probably haven't been there together since the 80s!! It was as quirky and cosy as we remembered though.
Really nice pub, good range of beers. Best pub we visited on our trip to Farnham, would definitely go back to it.
Been coming here for years and what can I say, it's the Cobbett! The atmosphere is always buzzing here and beer isn't badly priced for Farnham, plus it's the only pub in town with a clientele averaging under 40
Visited here just pre-christmas '21 the "Dark days". Beer was excellent, a good selection of seasonal and permanent ales, the lagers were the same. Staff were busy but polite, efficient and attentative enough that there were no undue delays. Food was excellent, the creation of "pigs-in-blankets loaded fries" was a stroke of inspiration, superb sublime and very moreish. Cannot fault the pub, it's always welcoming and has a nice mix of people that make it feel friendly and comforting to be here. the dog friendly nature means we can all enjoy it too. Even though the students love it here, it's not at all exclusive, it just feels like a "proper" pub. Top marks, I will be coming here for many more years, I suspect.
Went to the very and and well known pub very early in the day, it’s a pub that I have only ever been to in the evening so in the daytime it has a very different feel to it. The decor of the pub is very busy and interesting with something to look at and read on every wall and ceiling. I did not eat any food during my visit, but the main thing this pub does is burgers and similar style of food. I did have a real ale which was nice and well presented. The pub to me appears to have two different personalities the quite daytime one and the very lively evening one, so pick which you think you would like more. A place to visit if only to say you have been to the WC in Farnham locals will understand you others not so much.
Good pub. Popular place to meet up at the weekends. The pool tables upstairs four are also most welcome.

Really good vibes in this pub in Farnham. Great band.
Lovely independent pub. There's always great beers on tap. On my visit they had Dark Star crème brulle which was amazing. Keep an eye out for the pet spider.
