Went today for the first time. Shop was laid out well for social distancing. Someone was their to greet you to tell you when you can enter for your turn. The lady who served us I unfortunately don’t know her name she had long blonde hair she wore a visor and she was great with my son getting his school shoes which he took ages to decide on what he wanted. he was very particular. Highly recommend and will return for future shoes for my family.
I bought a pair of shoes from here and returned them as they were not quite what I wanted. I must admit I was not aware of the no returns policy until after buying the shoes. I was surprised in this day and age that this is their policy however I agreed to the credit note which could be used at any time. That would be great if we could get some customer service!! The amount of times my partner and I have been in the shop with him looking at menswear sandals and no one has come to assist him staff are too busy chatting about their personal life to spot a sales opportunity. We have walked out in disgust umpteen times however we we return because ultimately this shop still has my money. It is through gritted teeth that I go into the shop and see the ideal purchase that is worth interrupting the staffs social time to receive some customer service. The location of this shop must be prime but the service puts people off. I hope to find that purchase before the shop closes for lack of trade. For someone who works in the customer service industry. The owners really need to be aware of how little the staff care about the possible customer and securing a sale.
Very bad customer service. no refunds given like most shops for unworn unsuitable item, only exchange or credit note. was assured they were not closing down. Low and behold now they have closed down as of Sunday 13/02/2022. Trying to get my money back now!
Really poor service, my young daughter tried on some school shoes and I had to ask for the size to be checked by the young assistant. Then returned some shoes which I had bought that morning to be told I could only get a credit note. Asked to speak to the manager who was phenomenally rude to me. Admittedly there is a sign next to the till but I pointed out I don’t read that when focusing on putting in my PIN number and that it would be great if the assistant could inform you as you are paying. With online shopping and Clark’s offering refunds all the time, I will not be shopping at Johnson’s again. Happy to pay for quality, but not getting it at this shop.
Avoid at all cost!!! They have the strangest return policy ever, when they give you a credit note that you can use ONLY for a month EXCEPT Discounted products that you CAN NOT RETURN at all. AND the worst AND obviously VERY CLEVER from their point of view thing that when you buy the product, NO ONE WARNS YOU about this policy. YOU are caught BY SURPRISE when you try to return it. They are pointing you at something that written with a small font behind their backs. DISGUSTING!!!
I had the worst experience at this place I will avoid this shop now when I visit Windsor for shopping The staff are so rude, you be kind to them and they give you bad attitude. They are monsters Don’t bother coming to work if you are that miserable. I purchased some Footwear and they still seemed irritable and angry. They really don’t want your money they like to talk in a derogatory manner to you in front of your partner. If I could give this place a lower rating I would I have to agree with other reviews in terms of them being serious ratty and rude as this happened to me last year I’m still surprised they have not been dealt with please train them in customer services or hire people that want to be there nobody deserves to be spoken to like that
Pretty rude staff. Asked if some shoes were leather and got told all the shoes are leather so yeh. No other customer service and then the two staff in an otherwise empty store had a chat about how some other customer smelt of cigarette smoke. I left pretty promptly without troubling them with my custom.
Avoid this store. They don't refund goods so a credit note or exchange is the only option. Problem is they have insufficient shoes in stock so when you find a pair you like, chances are it'll be the display pair with the shoe from the display being faded compared to the shoe from the box. Find a different pair and be faced with the same issue, when it happens again with your third choice disbelief sets in. Ask for a brand new unfaded pair of shoes and prepared to be told most people would be happy with one faded display shoe and one new shoe. Clearly there's something wrong with the customer who pays full price and expects two unfaded shoes. Yes they'll ask another store if they have any in stock but they can't promise they'll be able to sell you a fresh pair of shoes. So what we have here is a shoe shop who can't promise to provide a customer with a new fresh pair of shoes and will ridicule a customer for being unprepared to pay for a substandard pair. I imagine the poor unsuspecting tourists in Windsor are the only reason this store is still in business.
Awful customer service. Bought some insoles for my husband while in the shop spending £50 on my sons shoes. They were terribly fitting and about an inch too short for his shoes so I took them back 2 days later when I was next in town and asked for 'a refund or something' only to be told they wouldn't take them back because I couldnt prove they hadn't been used. They were in original packaging with valid receipt and clearly still brand new. Their returns policy states they offer exchange or credit note provided it is unused and in original packaging with proof of purchase. This is not the case according to the manager of windsor or their equally as unhelpful 'customer services' the abrupt and defensive Vanessa. They refused to offer anything and as such I will happily take my custom elsewhere ... In fact startrite are cheaper online and offer free delivery so will also avoid the half hour queues from now on! AVOID!
Amazing customer service! It was a delight to be served by such an organised and efficient team even during the busy back to school period. Would recommend if you are looking for a company that truly cares about shoes and your child’s fitting.
