Decided to dine on Chinese. The restaurant was empty, but the night was very warm and we sat outside. It took me a while to choose a mild fish dish with not much chili. The only dish i wanted costed £19.99 (just fish!!!), but the waitress (only 1 in the restaurant) persuaded me that she would ask the chef to cook it with less chili peppers. When it arrived, - it was just a medium size fish, "floating" in a massive tray with murky water and Chinese vegetables in it. However, what surprised me, - despite my long conversation with the waitress, - the top of the fish was absolutely covered with sliced red chilies! - looked like 3 chilies! Considering the fact that the tray stood on a little cooker, - with fire on, - the chilies quickly penetrated the bouillon, and it was awfully hot and spicy! I didn't want to send the food back, because they would not have cooked a new fish for me, but would've just taken the chili pieces out. So, I decided to do it myself. For the price of £20, - the fish was spoiled. I was very disappointed with the girl, who couldn't care less about my requests. What was outrageous - SHE ASKED FOR TIPS!!!! Will not come again.

The food was very good, good service but feels a bit like a takeaway with tables rather than a restaurant. It's small but lacks any atmosphere. Good place to have tasty food with friends but not a date destination!

WE DO NOT RECOMMEND JIN JIN FOR TAKEAWAY!!! THIS DUMP IS NOW CLOSED DOWN!!! They Fail To Deliver Food On Time! They Fail To Regularly Answer Their Phone! Staff Fail To Comprehend Basic English! *THE MANAGER / OWNER IS A VERY RUDE, ARROGANT MAN!!! **WE HAVE VOICE-RECORDED AND VIDEO EVIDENCE!!! ***WE DO NOT RECOMMEND JIN JIN FOR TAKEAWAY!!!

I have been searching for a restaurant that does tasty, authentic Chinese food, of the sort you can find fir a reasonable price in China Town. Sadly Jin Jin falls way short. The dumplings for starter were nice but obviously of the sort you can find frozen from a chinese supermarket. What really let things down was the main course, the "crispy" noodles were simply straight out of a packet & un-cooked! The meat dishes had a hint of oriental flavour but were swimming in gravy that had come straight out of a packet & did not conjure up any of the flavour I was hoping for. If you are after anything other than the most basic of tastes this place is not for you - it certainly doesn't deserve to call itself a "Chinese restaurant". Despite all the oriental staff serving, the Chef is probably born & bred locally with no knowledge of the food he's supposed to be cooking. Please sort out your act & cook dome decent food, it might even be good for business!

Absolutely disgusting industrial chinese food... When l asked if the HOMEMADE section of the menu meant it was really homemade, she waitress laughed and said "of course not". She said it means that this is what they eat at home in China...but this is playing with words as most diners will think it is made in the restaurant. The service was very poor too as the food we ordered arrived even before we had any plate or cutlery on the table, no smile and very unprofessional. High price for very low quality food and service.
