We are regular visitors to Java, we keep returning here as the food is great and the service is very good.

Great cafe with excellent food. Experience spoiled a bit by open doors - downstairs it's cold when everyone leaves it open and upstairs there's the constant sound of the toilets. Fix the doors!

Lovely coffee. Miserable staff, no atmosphere and a door which kept sticking open so freezing unless you kept shutting it when people come in. Why don't they get it repaired!!!

It's now a family tradition to have at least one Java Full English Breakfast (at any time of the day!) whenever we're in Whitby. Highly recommended.
