Loved this place, although we only had coffee and cake - yes gluten free cake . The place is amazing and the service is good. They opened upstairs for us because it was getting busy. Gluten free chocolate brownie was delicious, as was the flapjack.
Sherlock's coffee shop is a nice little coffee shop. It's heavily decorated not for anyone who likes minimal decor and themed with lots of nooks to sit in. I had a scone and pot of tea. Both were great. The little biscuit of side of cup was divine. #whitby #teacoffeesnack
Excellent service . A very very busy place. Felt sorry for the staff. Sort staffed and kept up with everything. Got to give people like this credit. Especially when they are sort staffed and doing everything to keep everyone happy. Lovely food and lovely place to visit when in Whitby. I'm usually in Whitby and I have been in here before. Loved it. And it's also Dog friendly. Which is a bonus for Dog Owners. Food was delicious . So please visit this place when in Whitby....
A little gem of a coffee shop, great friendly staff and a good a level of service too, amazing cakes and all set in an old world setting. Even well behaved dogs are aloud in and treated to a bowl of fresh water. 10/10
This place is so very atmospheric and warm; it really paints the picture of a bygone era. The food and drinks are fairly priced and delicious, plus the menu accommodates for children as well as breakfast. It’s main selling point is it’s afternoon tea style but they also do milkshakes, sandwiches, scones, crisps, cakes and many other dinner items as well. They also have upstairs seating which allows for more space and a cheeky view of the adjacent road if you choose. Many cafes endow a style of comfort but this one has such an atmosphere that you will not want to leave. My partner and I along with my brother stayed here well over an hour as the place was just so nice and the staff amazingly attentive. I highly recommend this place to anyone who visits Whitby as the decorum and furniture is very clean and is just the right amount to keep you interested without it being ‘too much’. Will be returning many times whenever I vacation in Whitby. Don’t miss out on this superb establishment!
This is a qwerky coffee shop. The decor is warm and welcoming. Front of shop serve a mixture of lush cakes. The main part for me is the coffee. Not to be disappointed the coffee is indulgent and is not your run of the mill coffee chain. Enjoy, I'm sure you will.
Lovely little warm and cozy Coffee shop. Victorian style decor and friendly service. Amazing food, coffees and delicious cakes. Went twice whilst in Whitby for a few days. First time we sat in the booth, which was very nice. You can pay on card and has toilets upstairs, highly recommend 5/5
Brilliant coffee shop in Whitby with great prices. Very friendly staff, food and a wonderful atmosphere. Ordered a panini with a flat white along with my fiancé. Came to a reasonable price. Clean toilets as well. However, downstairs can get very cramped. I suggest going upstairs for more room and people don’t realise there is an upstairs.
Delicious coffee, very nice scone with jam and cream, and a lovely, quirky, atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit.
Lovely and cozy coffee place! Probably the best we had in Whitby! Very good coffee, nice deserts and very friendly and polite staff!! Great experience!!
