Popped in on the off chance today and purchased shoes and a new helmet. The owner was very helpful in helping me get the right shoe size for me - (that's the important factor) and also in fitting me for a helmet. Now both products were from brands unfamiliar to me, but I had trust in the owner that the products were chosen for a good reason, not because they were the better known brands. I share the same philosophy in my own store - "the posh" running shop (I wish). I had previously bought shoes by Bont & Spec but both had only been worn once as they were so uncomfortable - but I'd been told this was right by the 2 specialist stores I'd bought from - nonsense. Today I was helped by someone who cared, was not pressurised to buy, allowed to try, allowed to contemplate, I had not come out with money, so when I came back the owner suggested I try on again to ensure things were right. I hope very much I look after my customers in the same way as you looked after me today - thank you.
