If you don’t want play with your child safety,don’t buy nothing here. You will pay money but will not get any quality or service if something happens with your purchasennThis bike is one month old and used for school and back.nnShockingly, the brake has already snapped off, which I consider both unacceptable and extremely concerning from a safety perspective. I returned to the store to request a refund or replacement, but was told that the damage was caused by my son twisting the handlebars, which supposedly led to the brake snapping.nI strongly dispute this explanation. My son is five years old and does not have the strength or ability to twist the handlebars in such a way that would break a properly manufactured brake mechanism. This seems to be either a manufacturing fault or a quality issue with the product.nUnder the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. A bike for a child that fails within such a short time frame and under normal use clearly does not meet these standards.nnThe customer service and store team are not responsible about this situation.nnI would like to add, that we bought this bike as store’s staff recommended it for us.
10 stars!! Firstly Zoe offered to carry my bike up the stairs after directing me where to go. Then upstairs Louise & Ben went out of their to find me a new bike basket my bracket had just snapped on the handlebars. They not only found me a more fabulous basket suited to my bike, but then went out of their way to get me the bracket & there & then both fixed it on for me I had shopping to take home. What team work!! Louise went above & beyond, with exceptional service, Ben astounded me with his knowledge & together they made me feel like a VIP! Then not only that, but they took away my old broken basket for me. Then it did not stop there .. they asked another Ben to carry my bike downstairs for me with the utmost politeness. I went to Halfords for a replacement bike basket & I truly felt like this team on shift that day were the most professional, efficient, exceptional staff I have ever encountered. Halfords well done!!! Three cheers for Zoe, Ben, Louise & the other Ben. The other staff were also friendly & welcoming. Wow!
Very efficient. Bought a front light bulb on.their website and was given 7 days to come to store to have it fitted, no appointment needed. When I arrived Sunday morning service was quick and efficient, gentleman checked the light and off I went.
I had a very disappointing experience with Halfords today. I was originally given a collection time for my daughter’s bike on 17 May at 10:30am. When I arrived, staff told me there had been a mistake and that I actually needed to come back on the 24th. Then another staff member said if I came back at 2pm the bike would be ready the same day.nnI returned at 2:30pm and after waiting around for nearly an hour and a half, I was again told the bike was not ready and that I should come back on the 24th. Only after I explained that their colleague had confirmed it would be ready did they finally sort it out.nnIn the end, I didn’t receive the bike until around 5pm after almost two hours of waiting. The whole experience was exhausting, very poorly organised, and the customer service was extremely disappointing. What made it worse was the rude attitude from staff and the complete lack of a proper apology.nnReally poor service and not what I expected at all.
Bought a battery from here less than 2 yrs old, couldn't find the receipt but its date stamped on the battery however when I went in the manager was rude and dismissive and refused to replace the battery. Don't waste your money here, if there's a problem there's always a loop hole for them to refuse replacement even if you are within your rights to ask for it. I purchased a battery on behalf of a friend and I've asked them yo put the receipt tk the battery along with the receipt number to be etched into it and also the managers name and a stamp on it to prove purchase if there's a problem . Personally I won't spend another penny with them after getting mugged off like that. Rude and unprofessional service by people who aren't qualified to work on vehicles let alone replace anything or advise people on anything. You want help go to a proper place like GSF or Motorparts direct. Halfords are a bunch of thieving no good people!! Act cautiously when purchasing anything and make sure you keep a record otherwise they will use that to get out of replacing items you spend your hard earned money on!!
