Think "Road side cafe" and you won't be disappointed. I had the small English breakfast for £6.50 £7.90 if you wanted to make it large. Included toast and instant coffee. Food served was hot and a good breakfast. Cafe is a short way inside the industrial estate, through the security gates. Limited outside seating; but plenty of tables/seating inside.
So where do I start!!! Arrived at the cafe bearing in mind there was only one other family in there already.... We ordered 2 poached eggs with tomatoes and 2 poached eggs with beans. Over half an hour later orders were coming out for people who arrived ages after us. Eventually our food arrived 2 poached eggs with beans and tomatoes on one plate totally messed our order up. By this time we had waited 40 minutes for our breakfast!! How hard is it??? Over priced and shoddy service Def won't be going back!!!
over the years I have been going to jackies I've never had a bad meal. I'll continue going for the foreseeable future. The food is always good always hot. As to how long it takes to get your order will depend on how busy jackie is not just with customers in the cafe but with telephone orders as well. For a small business this one is the best.
Jackie's cafe was our base for a cycling time trial event. At stupidly short notice we had to switch venues; we were made to feel very welcome at Jackie's - huge thanks to everyone there dealing with a mass of thirsty Lycra clad cyclists with aplomb, and still looking after her other customers too. The food a drinks were spot on. I'll be back for a full English soon!
If you like a cooked breakfast this is the place to go. The proprieter knows how to cook great tasting food at good prices. Ample parking on site.
I used to like it here, but the staff have become so miserable, particularly the owners. On my last 2 visits they appear to have forgot my order and i've been left sat waiting for over half an hour, no apology. I've since stopped going.
Fantastic good value food and warm welcome for 9 cyclists, not obvious to find, it's on the industrial estate on the old airfield. Don't be put off by the security barriers
Came across venue whilst passing in the area. Very nice, clean, tidy, friendly and great selection. Will visit again.
Great fresh big breakfast piping hot and not greasy at all. Relaxing dining area.
A good place to have breakfast. Real friendly and also biker friendly
