Enjoyed my visit. The food and service were exceptional. My roast was plated beautifully and tasted great. Service time was just right and the mango spicy margarita was one of the best margaritas I’ve had!
Popped into here on a Saturday afternoon for a spot of lunch. We had no reservation, but they were able to find space and seat us quickly.nnThe menu has good options for being healthy and bar staples. We had a garlic bread with mozzarella cheese to start; super delicious!
Kai our waitress was absolutely fantastic. She couldn’t have been more helpful. We were a big group with kids and she was patient and kind the whole way through. Thank you! Also a huge thanks to Timothy for his quick responses during the booking stages- we had never been to the akeman before and decided on the venue based on how friendly and accommodating Timothy was in his first email response to my inquiry! He was also a point of contact throughout the meal- very professional. We will be back in the future!
An outstanding dinner at the akeman! Thank you to Peter our waiter who gave us a warm welcome and was so kind and helpful! The chefs too who still took our order at gone 9pm, very kind of them and the food was everything and more!nWe were staying at champneys and needed dinner so this was a very impromptu meal and I’m so glad we chose to go here, the food recommendations, menu, service, atmosphere, the food itself, wow! 10-10. Highly recommend nnThank you!
Sad to see that the menu has reduced drastically. No more ham and cheese lunch sandwich no more mushroom pasta and according to the menu you can now get your smoothie served on a small plate ?nThe comfort sofas have been replaced by high boob height tables and the homely atmosphere is being replaced by standard chain pub feeling such a shame as the akeman is such a lovely family feel pub let’s hope they don’t take away anymore of what we know and love :
