A wonderful place for a coffee and a book. Lots of cosy and comfortable seating on the ground and below ground levels. A drawing room upstairs where you can even play chess or just chill out. Really friendly and genuine staff, especially Katie. Mid-Sunday afternoon is nice and quiet. Definitely coming back - thank you.

Quirky, quaint and cosy. An unexpected hidden gem of an establishment compared to the general conservative mediocrity that comprises the majority of what Tring has to offer. Very welcoming with friendly staff, interestingly decor and low hanging cellings. Gorgeous cakes, puddings and coffee to for for. What more can one want?

Coffee was OK, not as deep and fruity flavoured as I like but perfectly drinkable. Friend had a pumpkin spiced latte which again was fine but not amazing. Cakes were fine. I would visit again and I liked the place but I prefer black goo.

Absolutely amazing experience. Visited jack and Alice in tring on my 21st birthday for lunch on 29/1/18. Food came quickly and well prepared. Wonderfully kind waitresses. Even got a free glass of champagne! Couldn't fault it at all. First time experience and I guarantee it will not be the last I couldn't remember the lovely ladies name who took the time to recognise it was my birthday but she was fantastic and I would like to thank her once again for free.glass of bubbly!

Lovely place, victim of its own success and staff slightly overrun. Plus the annoying woman with the phone clamped to her ear who stayed 30 mins (talking) without ordering a thing... turf her out I say!
